I had to stopped taking metformin as it was making me really poorly. My diabetes is now out of control again ... waiting to hear back from my nurse but has anyone any advice on other meds I might be able to take 😬

I saw the Channel 5 programme on RLS and just wanted to post this
I Suffered from RLS for many years. A couple of years ago I was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries and I was prescribed Metformin. A side effect of the Metformin was that the RLS just stopped. I just wanted to pass on this information. Thanks

I am not diabetic but was diagnosed with insulin resistance a few years ago. I was prescribed Metformin (500 mg x 3) but, before I had a chance to start it, I stumbled upon an article about Berberine and have been taking it since (500 mg x 3). My cravings are gone, and I have lost 20 kilograms rather

Peripheral Neuropathy - What a pain!
Mine started about 8 yrs ago. I thought I had bits of gravel in the bottom of my shoes. I actually took them off and shook them upside down and put my hands in them to see if I could feel anything there....of course, there was nothing! Never thought much about it, was just a mild annoyance. A couple

What "should" I be feeling like?
I've had GCA for 3 years now and my prednisolone dose is down to 5mg. I had thought that by now I would be feeling a lot closer to "normal" than I actually am. I still feel extreme exhaustion, like being completely drained of energy, not really tired. Also as if I have permanent flu. I have very bad

Advice on Metformin
Hello everyone :) I was diagnose with PCOS in June 2015 after a 6 year argument with my doctors who thought I was "fine". It has taken a temporary doctor to look at my paper work and finally put me on some sort of medication which is 500mg of metformin twice a day, after other doctors telling me that

15 months after chemo
Not posted much recently as life has been normal & wonderful because of that! Just had my 3 monthly appt & bloods at 10, CA125. Over the moon. Full blood profile normal too, liver, kidneys, cholesterol etc. Carrying on with the metformin, statin, wormer combo from COC as it seems to agree with me-I
