if you are on injections for B12 then the fact that metformin interferes with absorbing B12 in your gut is not relevant as you are no longer absorbing your B12 via your gut.
In fact there have even been some studies that I have come across that suggested that metformin may help with processing of B12 at the cell level.
I've had P.A. for 45 years now and I too worried when I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes a year or so ago and put on high doses of Metformin but as Gambit62 says because I'm on b12 injections the pills won't adversely affect my B12 level.
Do you know what your iron and Folate levels are as these work together with the B12.
