Lantus

My spouse received his kidney transplant almost 6 yrs ago this month and takes 2 different insulin medications, Novolog and Lantus. Lantus is taken before bedtime and we found out last week our insurance is not carrying it as of 1/1/25.

Also, I noticed a slight pain on the feet while walking:- I'm 72 diabetic under control with Lantus and Metformin I drink a peg of alcohol everyday with evening meal Does this affect my blood sugar level ? I'm taking Pregabalin 75mg OR any other tablet will help with the cramps ?

I left a message asking if I can go down to taking lantus only once a day instead of twice. I still don’t need short-acting insulin with my meals because it’s like I have a functioning pancreas again.
