No longer diabetic
Went to my GP as I'd been 6 years with type 2 diabetes and felt I was running out of time to change the future at 62 years. I was referred for the "Healthy Heart, Healthy Weight Intervention programme" - a weekly meet for lifestyle changing/dietary information with an hourly session of aerobic activity

Happy Days and park run
Two good things happened this week, I started the c25k because I was over weight had type 2 diabetes and was lazy. I started and was helped a lot by my wife to follow a no sugar diet which allowed me to loose the first 1.5 stone so my knees didn't give up when running like the last time I tried c25k

Hi all, Not sure if I'm in the right spot, but here goes. I'm a 26 year old female, no health problems that I know of. I went in for a routine shot (HPV shot #2 of 3). While in the waiting room I consumed a vanilla latte and a sugar cookie. I had no idea that the doctor had also ordered a blood

Alpha 1 antitrypsin question please
Hi- can anyone help? My GP recently requested a blood test for alpha-1 antitrypsin due to some wheezing I have, and a strong family history of COPD. The blood test that was carried out was Serum protein electrophoresis, which came back normal. I asked the GP if A1AT is included in that and she said yes

Blood sugar levels
I am not massively overweight. I have lost a stone and need to lose another half stone which is proving difficult. I eat healthily and am very active. I am 62. A recent blood test showed my Hba1c (measurement of how much sugar has stuck to red blood cells over the last 3 months or so) was 42, thereby

I’ve been struggling with my weight for all my life. Yo-yo-ing back and forth between two extremes. Having body dysmorphia at 130 lbs and thinking I was obese, to now struggling to stay motivated and disciplined at 190 pounds and needing to lose weight. If anyone knows a great way to get started on
