QUEENing like a G
Yeah that title is kinda full of Slang and maybe not very Queeny. I don't even know what it all means. I've been gone a minute. I had two classes to finish and a week of an exam that will signify if I am able to move forward or not in my program. So I have left it in God's hands and I'm moving on. I

process we learned my brother also has PKD. Within the past 5 years, with Dad's immune system being so low, the skin cancer has been been gradually making itself more known.

Fluid around liver post transplant
Hi, I'm 2 years post liver
transplant
, and I'm currently in hospital for a
kidney
infection. Thankfully they seem to have got this under control, even though my kidneys are only working around 43%. The worry is that a CT scan has shown up some fluid around my liver.

Severe, 45-minute long leg cramps
I'm scheduled for a
kidney
transplant
and hoping that the cramps will go away.... Has anyone else experienced this? And did the cramps go away after your transplant?

Kidney-Shaped Pierced Earrings
I wore these a few times to raise awareness of my need for a
transplant
. Just got a
kidney
from my sister and it's settling in nicely. Would love to gift these to someone who could get some use out of them. They come with a matching "lapel" pin. Purchased from Etsy.

ATG treatment /Rabbit antigens
Hi as previously explained I am awaiting bone marrow transplant. Have been told I will need rabbit antigens or ATG ahead of the process. From what the consultant has said it can cause lots of side effects eg high temp amongst other things. Has anybody else had this treatment? Thanks Joanne

blood test bingo!
I've just been to Bristol stem cell department in preparation for a possible Stem cell transplant. I had to have 14 phials of blood taken for tests. Is this a record at one sitting? !!

Hyperparathyroidism diagnosis plz help!
Hi Everyone, I had my
kidney
transplant
8months ago after being on dialysis for almost 6years. My dr. Just told me I have a severe hyperparathyroidism and that’s mainly because I was on dialysis for so long. He prescribed Cinacalcet to be taking once a day.

Another positive beta-2 glycoprotein but numbers have dropped since last test is this normal?
just had my 4th positive beta 2 glycoprotein test. Went in to see the rheumatologist and he said well thats good its dropped from the last test (but its still not in normal range) so no action required because I've never had a blood clot. He has never once asked me what are my symptoms and surely

Urinary Tract Infection
I think I am starting a UTI - usual symptoms - burning, cloudy urine etc. Only just started. Is this more common with PMR? I am taking large doses of vitamin C and I have some D-Mannose. Any other recommendations? I wonder if this is the reason for a flare of PMR symptoms as well - have been stiff
