i am not very good with this site. as I cant seem to find my way around i couldn't find replies to my last post. so just look at post written in by other members. hoping they may answer my worries. I wrote a post a few months ago when PMR came back as a flare up. This time my G.P. put me on 30m

Pred dose post hip operation
Hi, and thank you in advance to all who have the patience to read this long story, and the kindness to offer advice: I have so many things going on at the moment! Currently, PMR seems like the least of my problems, and I’m hoping I can ride the other medical turmoil I’m in without it raising it’s head

Total Knee Replacement
Hi Hope everyone is well. I need a bit of advice.- I've been given a date for my knee replacement..it's in August and will be done in north London at a good NHS hospital. They have a centre for elective surgery and to be honest it's probably the best hospital option available to me. But for anyone

Hi Guys Ok, had my first valve replacement last July which was accompanied with my first case of Endo. My recovery has been incredible and I have never been as fit in my entire life until last Wednesday when I fell apart again with the usual symptoms, back in hospital and yes have Endo Part 2.

My Story
I've had RLS since childhood and didn't know that I had the malady. Of recent years, it has gotten worse and I was placed on 1mg Pramipexole which worked almost adequately. After some months/years, I returned to see my Primary Care Doctor and they said it was alright if I took 1/2 tablet more of

Hip Replacement while on treatment??
My husband, who is in a Clinical Trial at MDA for Richter's, needs a hip replacement badly - such that his severe arthritis is a bigger deal to his quality of life than the Richter's. He saw an orthopedic pain management specialist last week who had nothing to offer, stating that a steroid injection

I need advice about taking Hydroxycarbamide
I’m 70 years old and just been diagnosed with ET Jak2. I’ve been put on 500 mg of Hydroxycarbamide but I’ve just received my script and read the leaflet and side effects and I’m afraid to start them. I had a knee replacement 5 months ago and took a blood clot followed by night sweats and a viral infection

CLL diagnosis
Hello all, I have just been diagnosed with CLL, because of a blood test in preparation for knee replacement surgery! I have a no symptoms other than mild fatigue. The encologist said this disease doesn’t mean that it’s the end. Some people go for years without symptoms. I am in good health and stay fit

3 weeks until superpath hip replacement
it’s becoming very real now! I need both hips replaced, my left is going first as only 10% mobility left even though my right is more painful. I have chosen Superpath to avoid muscle and tendon cut through all being well. A bit of a trek from Scotland to Leicester where there is an experienced surgeon

My employer finally terminated my contract last month because of the nature of my job and the deteriorating condition of my knee. I have tricompartmental osteoarthritis in my knee which has now got to the point where every step I take is sore, my job was contracting to a large company working on kitchen

Hip replacement.
I have surgery booked for my right hip booked for 1st March. I'm having a dual mobility prosthesis as I have had lumbar surgery and I also have scoliosis and so am at greater risk of dislocation. Has anyone else had this, and did you have spinal or general anaesthetic when you have spinal problems.

Knee relacement
Hi, I have osteoarthritis in my left knee and am now scheduled for a half knee replacement in a couple of weeks time. I was wondering if anyone has had one recently? I am wondering how long it will take to recover and any other useful insights people might have?

Hip replacement date
Hello All, It’s been a long time since I’ve been on here, I finally got into sheltered housing last April & got a lovely little bungalow I’m over the moon with. It was in very good content with decent carpets curtains, and blinds left & got a decorating/other grant from the council that I wasn’t expecting

given up
Hello, I was wondering if anyone could possibly help me with some advice. Unfortunately, because I am under 60 years of age, I have basically been told I will not get a knee replacement until I am 60 or over, but I am now unable to weigh bare because of my knees, and I do mean unable to even put any
