Jevtana

My MO and I discussed Jevtana which sounds like the end of the line. I am asking those who have had Jevtana, how bad are the S/E in comparison to docetaxel. I know both treatments are taxane based, so I would expect similar side effects. Thanks for your assistance.

My husband and I are waiting for his first Jevtana infusion. We learned today that his PSA jumped from 1.9 a month ago to 3.55 today (not had a high jump like that maybe ever?). Also learned he is castrate resistant.

Would appreciate any information for Jevtana treatment. At doctor's appt yesterday, my husband's hemoglobin had decreased to 7.6 and he had to have a blood transfusion. His Alkaline Phosphatase went up again. He will start on Jevtana on June 20th. We are hoping this will do him some good.

Hello all, I have been hearing Jevtana has less side effects than Docetaxel. My husband seems to be having a harder time, he has nausea he didn’t have before and some serious insomnia. Tough to deal with while working FT.

I started Jevtana and carboplatin about 9 weeks ago. I have what is described as" PSA surge". When I started my psa was 4.4 now 8.3. Has anyone else experienced this? What if any thing was done?. My Mo says stay the course, scans to be repeated in July. Thanks for all your help

I have noticed that some men on this site have had over 30 infusions of Jevtana. My husband has had completed 10 sessions of docetaxel. The last three were given with a second dose of Carboplatin. Jevtana is new to us. How is it tolerated? Why can it be given at such a high number of doses?

My PSA recently started climbing and is up to 30 now while on Jevtana and Carboplatin. What other treatments should I be asking about? Hormone therapy stopped working about a year ago after being on it for about 6 months. Taxotere worked well when I was on it a year ago.

I finished cycle of Jevtana (7 infusions) and Xtandi. My PSA was 0.74, but now it has increased to 2.3. All other tretments and history are in my bio. The last Pet-choline done in Feb. 2024, did not show any mets, probably because at that time my PSA was 0.6.

Believe it or not I feel fine after receiving Jevtana and Carboplatin, its that shot of nuelasta thats killing me for 3 days.

Does anyone have experience with side effects from Jevtana )cabazitaxel) IV? I’m starting next week and just wondering how prevalent some of the classic effects are? Thanks!

My MO has switched me over to Jevtana, but the likelihood of Neutropenia is statistically higher with it vs. Taxotere- ugh.

Hi I have been offered Jevtana after a course of Ra223. My Oncologist says the chance of it working is just 20% and seems reluctant. Does anyone have any positive stories of Jevtana success. Also is true that the time gap to LU177 is 6 months?

At 66 my PSA was 3400 with Gleason score 4 ; started Docetaxel and Jevtana until July 23 ; Now on Pluvicto have 5 more treatments to go. Some bone pain and weakness in legs from chemo; but getting stronger slowly.

He had good response to this 5 years ago- much better than docetaxel or jevtana. I’m wondering your thoughts about whether this could be effective again.. it has been 5 years but has other treatments and progression created significant resistance? Thanks in advance

Started Jevtana in August hoping for more moderate side effects and efficacy than I'd had with three prior rounds of Docetaxel. First Jevtana round was without carboplatin. Second Jevtana round had carboplatin included.

My MO has put me on Jevtana for which I have comepleted 2 treatments so far. After my call today with my doctor it was evident he is losing hope for me ( understood) and he will look at clinical trials.

If you've tried cabazitaxel [u]without[/u] ADT, I would appreciate hearing about your side effects and effectiveness. I'm currently in excellent shape at age 72. Previously I tolerated docetaxel (which along with radiation of abdominal lymph nodes helped me return to undetectable PSA for 4+ years

Scans were ugly and for some reason I have agreed to jevtana as I live for my family. Trouble is I'm miserable and I’m in so much pain despite wearing a fentany patch plus Oxy and now morphine. The chemo aggravates the cancer and causes more pain.

Previously on Firmagon, Xtandi worked for awhile, nothing with Xofigo and a few rounds of Jevtana didn’t help and caused problems, also had localized XRT - but had to have chemo to qualify for Pluvicto which is a great advanced treatment for many of us After multiple delays getting Pluvicto with PSA
