Surviving in retirement

At age 52 I was diagnosed with stage 3 Multiple Myeloma ; after 2 bone marrow transplants in 2007 & 2009 I was able to continue my engineering job until age 65.

At 66 my PSA was 3400 with Gleason score 4 ; started Docetaxel and Jevtana until July 23 ;

Now on Pluvicto have 5 more treatments to go. Some bone pain and weakness in legs from chemo; but getting stronger slowly.

Wishing you great success with the Pluvicto. Seems like you’ve had more than you share of cancer !

Thanks Yank66,

Cancer has changed my life perspective. Each day can be remarkable; I'm still able to grow some garden vegetables which I find thrilling. Best to you

It amazes me how much gardening be it flowers or veggies soothes the mind. Keep at it.

Thta's odd to have a PSA of 3400 and a Gleason of only 4.

I wish you the best. Perhaps I can reach out to you personally? My PCA is in remission, but I currently also have plasmacytoma which is progressing rapidly toward Multiple Myeloma. So much so the I'm being retested next week to confirm progression to MM vs the original plan which was to retest in November. If you don't mind, I'd like to PM you about MM. So very little info on this site and feeling little lost. My PCA Oncologist is testing me and offered to treat me through induction but didn't want to do the transplant. I also have an appointment @ Mayo upcoming to meet with hero oncologist.

In any event, I wish you the best with your Pluvicto treatment.

Of course; however Multiple Myeloma has so many different varieties. Get several options and discuss all the effects to make your best decision. Keep in touch
