chemo re challenge

hi there my father is about to start another cycle of carboplatin and etoposide this week. He had good response to this 5 years ago- much better than docetaxel or jevtana. I’m wondering your thoughts about whether this could be effective again.. it has been 5 years but has other treatments and progression created significant resistance? Thanks in advance

Hi. In what ways was this combination successful 5 years ago? I began a cisplatin plus etopicide this month and I'm hoping for the best!

He had a significant response in terms of reduce active mets and reduction of psa for about 10 months. My dad had Gleason 10 with small cell variant so with that said it was a good response.
