I try to be forward thinking so I am not hit with any surprises. After my first round of Keytruda, I had a PSA of 167. Three weeks later, after cycle two, my PSA was 303. While writing this post cycle three of Keytruda is being infused into me. My MO and I discussed Jevtana which sounds like the end of the line.
I am asking those who have had Jevtana, how bad are the S/E in comparison to docetaxel. I know both treatments are taxane based, so I would expect similar side effects.
Thanks for your assistance.

I had two courses of Taxoteres, then Cabazitaxels. The SEs with Jevtana were milder, I didn't even lose any hair. My smart-*ss remark was that it wasn't strong enough to kill my hair cells so that's why it didn't work vs the PCa. 28 IMRTs did the trick so far.
I did do the 2 day fasting prior to the chemos and that helped with the SEs of both
currently on 3rd dose of cabazataxel . So far the SEs are much milder than Docetaxel, but it’s also not working as well . PSA is not moving much at all
I’ve had 5 sessions of Cabazitaxel and no additional side effects from what I was already having. I’m targeting to have 10 sessions. Scans are scheduled to see if it’s working. PSA has been steady.
