Things that made a difference...
IVF
not ICSI (unless male factor). I think ICSI is overused. I did one round of ICSI and my fertilisation rate tanked from 85% to 30%. My doctor advocates for ordinary
IVF
where possible. 8. One last thing- I took expensive NAD supplements - Tru Niagen - one round.

repeat surgery?
I had my first one in 2021 and then started
IVF
so pregnancy stopped my periods and I was pain free for 9 months. Recently the pain is creeping back in and I’m not sure if another laparoscopy could be on the cards? I’m not sure if this is something that would be suggested?

Devestated - empty looking sac at 7 week scan
Hello, I’ve had a whirlwind of a few weeks which included a totally unselected BFP following our last round of ovulation induction before moving to
IVF
in the new year. Of course I was anxious but really thought this could be my lucky break and naturally got carried away imagining future baby.

Need mental help or support about sharing the ivf procedure with parents and in laws
I'm Indian 36+ ttc since 2016 and moved to UK in 2019. 2 iui + 1ivf icsi FET failure. My parents torture me to the core to share all the details of my process and everytime I tell them they have no rights to ask and I'm not obliged to tell, they start up their drama of being silent. Already my childhood

Is mild IVF better?
Started
IVF
1 year ago at age 37, diagnosed with both unexplained and DOR. We’ve been unable to conceive since we started trying at 32, fobbed off by every doctor in the US and UK for years because “you’re so young, just keep trying.”

Smoking and ivf
Hi I was a smoker for about 6 months before I decided to stop and go for
ivf
. Have been preparing myself with all the supplements for the last 2 months since April. I did smoke a few sticks (less than 10) during these 2 months due to very stress. I'm due for retrieval in Aug.

Blighted Ovum?
I've been very lucky in my
IVF

IVF
, 2 children over the course. My HCG was low on 15dp5dt at 464.

Hi ladies, I had a failed FET in March and I’m meant to do a natural FET at the end of the month. A new position opened up at work. I hesitated a long time before applying and eventually thought that I’d had enough of putting my life on hold because of infertility. I was informed that I got the job

Final Fresh Round… Any tips for low fertilisation?
Hi all, My partner and I have had x2 fresh rounds of
IVF
, both resulting in only one embryo due to low fertilisation (poor sperm quality and poor egg quality being our unfortunate challenges).

The doc is organising a PET scan which she couldn’t do initially due to me undergoing
IVF
. I managed to preserve one egg 🤞🏽I had fertility sparing surgery due to my age being 32 and scans have showed right ovary uterus cervix all healthy.

Donor egg & menopause advice
I would love a sibling for our little boy, and really I think our only chance of success would be with donor egg
ivf
. It just wouldn’t be worth the expense with such a low chance of success with my own eggs, and I’d already been warned of this when we were going for
ivf
before.

One of those evenings…
But has anyone else found on their
IVF
journey that friends have started hiding pregnancies. I’ve had that tonight and it’s so frustrating and isolating to feel that it had to be hidden from me. Sorry for the *rant*, just wondered if this is ‘normal’.

Heading for round three after two miscarriages. Success stories needed please
Hello there, So after two rounds of
IVF
and two miscarriages, we are going in for round three. Whilst we do not want to give up, it's hard to believe that this time will be any different. Anyone with a similar story that got to have a happy ending? Thanks! A
