Stupid question but...
Why don't all endo sufferers who aren't TTC on the pill to stop the monthly bleeding? Surely bleeding each month just creates more endo, so the first thing to do would be stop the bleeding? My Dr is recommending the coil which "might" stop my periods, it also "might" make me bleed really heavily for

Just filed the latest letter.
What larks! Somebody is making a fortune off me with sales of poly pockets! Anyway, the letter just repeated most a conversation I’d had with the electro cardiologist. While he didn’t print it, he did say to me that the drugs I’m taking won’t stop another Torsades de Points episode. He did print that

ICD report
Hi everyone I am looking for some advice please. I just got my report from my recent ICD reading. It says I had episodes of non sustained VT lasting 27 seconds. Is this something I should be worried about? Thank you for reading x

Question about ultrasound and anyone else suffering the Irish healthcare system
Does ultrasound actually show anything other than if you are pregnant? I have quite advanced endometriosis and all I've had are ultrasound and the one lap that diagnosed me in 2018. I'm in pain and bloated and fed up with the constant BS from Irish medical professionals, after paying €200 euros for a

How to choose sperm donor
Hi all, We are planning to have a donor sperm back up for my next cycle in case my husbands frozen sperm is not good enough under IMSI. The bank my clinic recommended had only 12 Caucasian donors! I obviously want the child to look like a mix of me and my husband. I’ve seen some sperm banks in the

Whoop band and heart issues
HI, Has anyone got any experience of Whoop bands who is living with heart issues? I'm 45 and have coronary heart disease, I'm got an ICD fitted as I had a cardiac arrest at 35. I want to get one to track my stats etc, but before I pull the trigger as it's a monthly subscription service, does anyone

Cyst pain - do i need to worry it’s ruptured?
Hey all, Had a laparoscopy in October removing endo from my pelvis and a coil fitted. A few weeks later I was having agonising pain so referred for an ultrasound to check my coil was in the right place, and it was but they found a 5cm cyst on my right ovary which had either grown super fast or been

Cardiology Reply from Royal Devon and Exeter
Wow just had a reply to my patient liason request. I have waited 16 months for Angiogram and 5 months for Cardiac CT and ICD implant. Now been told no idea how long I will have to wait, could be months. No time scale whatsoever. I have tried to explain this to my heart but no real understanding

How to decide whether to have a hysterectomy
Hi, I'm newly diagnosed with stage 4 endo including 6 cm cyst and endo on anterior rectal wall. I've seen a private Dr who has advised I'd need surgery rather than just trying hormone treatment and my options are either a lap to remove what they can or a full hysterectomy. I'm 45, so fertility isn't

What is the waiting surgery time and recovering time for Pulmonary valve replacement with ICD fit in? Has anyone gone through the same?
Hi everyone. I'm 29 years old and was born with a congenital heart disease. In December 2021 I had to put an ICD and was referred by Liverpool for pulmonary heart valve replacement, after a diagnosis of severe valve regurgitation. Has anyone here had a valve replacement with an ICD? Or knows how long

Experience with the Mirena Coil for Endo
Hello, After not getting on with side effects of Prostap, my gynae is proposing to trial the Mirena Coil. I'm due to have it fitted at the end of this month. I've heard mixed reviews - from horror stories (re side effects) to success stories! I just wondered if anyone who's had the coil could share

Are IUI cycles done back to back usually?
Hello, Had a BFN this morning following my first IUI two weeks ago. I've just been speaking to my clinic and they seem to be saying I now have to wait until I've had a full cycle before starting IUI round 2 (so that I can have a baseline scan CD18-25). I'm completely shocked and upset - I have PCOS and

Total hysterectomy without HRT?
Hi, I had a total hysterectomy three weeks ago for severe endometriosis and adenomyosis. I have been offered oestrogen HRT but I’m reluctant to use it because of the endometriosis and bad reactions to the pill and coil in the past. I am trying herbal remedies and don’t feel too bad. Can anyone tell
