Well with my old device it wouldn't let my heart rate dro below 60bpm and I'm laying in bed feeling like I'm dropping off but noticing its showing lows of 54bpm and worrying that if I go into a deep sleep that it will go even lower I just Don't even want to sleep.

My GP once told me that below 40bpm is when they get concerned, or before that if you start feeling dizzy or faint. I suggest you give your GP a call in the morning, just to put your mind to rest.

As far as I know (based on having a dual chamber pacemaker and now a CRT-P) the lower bpm limit is set by the EP team when it is implanted, but can be tweaked after. If your bpm tries to go below the limit it paces to maintain it. My Garmin shows a pretty much flat line at 55 bpm in deep sleep. If you are worried it is definitely worth asking the implant team to check your settings.

Jeanjeannie50, fred1954, ajaxer and gilreid1 thank you all so much for your advice and time in messaging its really appreciated and helped alot.I know there is a 50/50 with people about fitbits and smart watches and I appreciate everyone's opinions on it as we are in a world of free speech anyone can have and say their opinions but I've got to say I am on the side of having a fitbit as otherwise I wouldn't f noticed the drop in bpm and wouldn't have gained the information I found out without realising basically when my device was implanted they changed my bpm threshold so they can find the natural rhythm of my heart as the new lead can start to rsync my heart and start the healing process, I obviously wasn't informed of this setting and wasn't told but I am glad I noticed it and asked the question so now I can start the healing process and try and get myself back to being me.

Many thanks guys and hope you're staying safe please feel free to comment further but please with regards to yes or no to a fitbit please respect other people's views and opinions and let's not argue about it as I have seen some heated debates on the subject lol all the best you guys x
