Contraception
Hi All, Does anyone with Hashimoto’s have any experience of hormonal contraception? I’ve got a copper coil but since having it my periods are 12 days long and heavy. I’ve always had issues with breakthrough bleeding on pills in the past - the mini pill made me have 100 day periods! Plus I’m scared of

Does anyone have experience of the Mirena reducing back pain?
Does anyone have any experience of the Mirena coil improving constant pain rather than just cyclical pain? I had an internal ultrasound yesterday and the doctor said she didn’t see any obvious signs of disease and gave me no other advice other than just to try the mirena. I was pretty disappointed with

Rash following ICD implant
I was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy about 3 years ago, and after several bouts of arrhythmia in the last few months, my consultant said I needed an ICD as a precautionary measure. I was a little apprehensive about it, but decided to go ahead. I was very nervous the day I went into hospital

Is copper coil a good method after depo provera?
I’ve had 2 depo provera shots and have recently become incredibly anxious and depressed (crying constantly for no real reason) which is really sad as I had been raving about the injection in the first 18 weeks. I’m looking into the copper coil as it has no hormones, can anyone recommend or let me know

Could it be pregnancy?
So I have the copper coil and have done for nearly 4 years now. My partner and I never use contraception due to being in a long term relationship. Since having the coil fitted I’ve always been regular with my periods and have apps to track it, however I’m now 4 days late and it’s really strange as I’

Next steps after Clomid?
I wanted to see if anyone had advice / been through a similar treatment pathway. Background: 32 y/o and been trying for two years (on pill / implant before then). No luck after one year so went through standard GP testing as my cycles had been long and irregular after the implant, but tests / scans

Brown staining
Hi all, Has anyone experienced a brown staining during their 2ww on progesterone pesseries ? We had IUI treatment 11 days ago and the brown ' stuff ' has been a few times a day since day 3. It's seems like it's when ever a pessary is due or there abouts so we've started using them every 10 hours to

Suspected endo - any advice?
Hey guys, Hope you are all keeping well. I've just had a consultation with a gynaecologist yesterday regarding some fibroids they found last year through an ultrasound. She was really lovely and empathetic, said she has similar issues herself and like me, didn't't get on too well with cerazette, which

Hi! First post, can anyone offer any advice please?
Hi! My names Sam, I’ve been on here for a while but first time posting! I got diagnosed with endometriosis in may 2019 after many years of problems. I’ve had 3 laparoscopies within 18 months and tried different pills and stuff to stop my periods, but they never seem to agree with me and my periods still

9 dpiui
Currently in 2ww after IUI 9 days ago. This is my second IUI and the wait is driving me insane. I feel very different this time round, last time the crinone caused me to feel dizzy and sick and I felt very pregnant with sore boobs. It was a real disappointment when it didn’t work. This time I found the

Appointment - coil/pills
Hi guys, I’ve got my second gynae telephone appointment this evening. I know they’re going to want me to have the coil but I’m really reluctant to for a couple of reasons. 1. Even having a speculum for smear is very painful so I’m terrified insertion will be excruciating and 2. I’ve heard you can have

Endometriosis flare up?
Good morning, Just wanted to pick your brains about endometriosis. Back story first... I had a laparoscopy in December 2019 to remove ovarian cyst and zap endometriosis away and then had copper coil fitted as surgeon recommended. 12 months later I still had crippling cramps, daily, heavy periods and

Spotting on progesterone pessries
My partner is 6 days post IUI and has had bits of spotting on the tissue after a wee. Started off light brown and is now a pink ? To early for implantation? Irritation from pessries ? Sam xx

Hair loss and acne
I had the copper coil fitted 4 weeks ago because I don't get along with hormones. Since then my hair has been falling out in clumps, im fatigued and I am getting hormonal acne all over my chin which I never get!? I'm at the point where I'm genuinely scared to wash my hair in case it falls out anymore
