I have had IBS for several years and my most recent problem with it is constipation. I have been taking two sachets of Fybogel with Mebeverine a day plus four Sennokot but they are not really doing the trick. I have read about Linaclotide but don't think it is Nice approved. Here is the link to the

Feeling a bit fobbed off
Hi I have pain again around my left hip area despite three laps and removal of left ovary. I went to see my doctor about three weeks ago and she prescribed Mebeverine as she believed my pain was worsened by spasms in my gut. I agreed to give the mebeverine a try and when I saw her for my follow up

Advice please on how to take Mebeverine and stronger antispasmodic tablets?
Hello, I had used Buscopan and got used to too much and tried Mebeverine but I am not satisfied with it very much. I can only take one tablet 3 times a day of Mebeverine. I still have to take strong NSAIDs tablets in the between and waking up in pain in the middle of night. This is about the same

Confused with the different medications
Have had ibs symptoms for about 3 weeks now (never before this) Doc has given me Mebeverine to help with the stomach cramps, but still have them. Can mebeverine be taken when pain comes on or does it have to be taken pre meals.
Can mebeverine be used when you have a spasm or pain or does it have to be taken before meals. I only want to take it when necessary not on a regular basis. Also I would like to know if there is an effective painkiller paracetomol does not seem to work. I used to take ibuprofen for headaches and it

Shaking
I've heard that it can be normal to get shakes with Ventolin. However I've barely touch it atm, once a day atm, due to dealing with mould patch in my bedroom. However I'm also taking Mebeverine for suspected IBS. Would taking such a low dose of Ventolin cause shakes? Or is it is caused by the IBS

Chronic pain
Hi there to all of you and a sincere wish for you all to be well and happy. I wonder if you could give me some help? Since August of last year I have had left sided lower abdomen pain. I have had a colonoscopy (never again) which revealed Diverticular disease but the consultant dismissed this as not

IBS - Almost one year on....
My name is Amy and I am 27 years old. This is my first ever blog post and whilst I may not be able to offer any useful advice I wanted to share my story. My family have lived through this experience with me and been incredibly patient and supportive but I think it would be good for me to talk to people
