hello. I would hope you are seeing not only a kidney doctor, but also a cardiologist. I had a kidney removed (cancer) in 2017. This was done by a urologist surgeon. My first visit with him after the operation, he scheduled me with not only a kidney doctor, but also a cardiologist. I questioned the cardiologist referral. He said people just do not realize the direct linkage of cardiovascular and kidney. That in fact most people with kidney disease, by far, die from cardiovascular problems caused by failing kidney. So certainly, as you say, you need to know all the advice possible on what to do for your heart. (I too am stage 3b). I see my cardiologist every 4 months. I see my kidney doctor only every 6 months.
