High ferritin results
My thyroid doctor has asked me to get a full
iron
panel with my GP, which I will do. One of the possible causes of the high ferritin is being overmedicated on thyroid hormone. I don't feel over-medicated.

Busy, busy, busy!
We've been busy with the roof leaking in the conservatory; dealing with the insurance company re my
iron
dropping onto the lounge carpet and leaving a very visible imprint; spending hours on the phone to Vodafone who have, after nearly two years, finally arranged an engineer who was able to fix our land

'Malabsorption' - what do doctors mean exactly?
Hello, When reading about causes of deficiences such as
iron
, folate, B12 etc. the medical information (from whichever source) lists the causes and malabsorption is always one of them.

Iron Infusions for RLS
Another research paper showing
iron
infusions of Ferric Carboxymaltose improves RLS. We now have the uphill battle of convincing our GPs and neurologists.

Rheumatologist appointment at last!
In the meantime, after my Aussie holiday I had a flare when I tried to taper, so it's back to go slow, my markers were normal except for the
iron
I think he said which indicates inflamation.

foods to eat for longevity
And if a woman is menstruating, I would recommend getting a yearly serum ferritin test because of the importance of
iron
. And sometimes just the amount of
iron
is in a multiple vitamin and mineral formula is enough to keep those ferritin levels up. We’ve learned a lot about vitamin D3 lately.

Based on the advice given on here I have been taking
iron
bisglycinate for a couple of months (I've finished the bottle of 60) and not noticed any discernible impact on my RLS. My ferratin was 22 before I started but I have not had it retested.

Autoimmune issues -- should I try Pegasys?
As well, I'm
iron
deficient with ferritin typically under 10. I'm reluctant to try hydroxyurea since I enjoy being outside and there is a history of skin cancer in my family. Also, I'm interested in the possibility of remission that Pegasys can offer.
