Blood work
Reticulocyte count is also higher than normal when a patient with
iron
deficiency anemia or megaloblastic anemia (due to vitamin B12 deficiency) is treated with supplementary
iron
or vitamin B12. My ferritin was high on my test. Could this increase in reticulocyte count be related my RLS?

Second opinion for my daughter (ruling out thyroid, opinion on vitamins)
I think I've done just that - I don't think she's hypo, and looks like she is just
iron
anemic and needs a D supplement. Dr. recommended 60 mgs of
iron
a day + 1000 IUs of Vit D. Can someone take a look at her bloods and confirm what appears to be completely normal thyroid results?

Please may I get your thoughts on 2nd round of thyroid tests?
I have many hypothyroid symptoms some of which overlap with
iron
deficiency and B12 deficiency. I am taking
iron
supplements as I was severely
iron
deficient (ferritin 8ug/L ref range 30-250) and also anaemic in September 2023.

Buprenorphine @ 2 weeks, issues
This is after augmenting on pramipexole, getting off that last year, and having some moderate but transient response to IV
Iron
5 mos ago that has mostly gone away (despite my ferritin levels still being 300).

need advice
I know I’m not absorbing it and I have had the same problem with
iron
. I’ve had gastroscopies which show chronic gastritis. This has been going on for 25 years and I feel I’ve always been existing and never felt 100% well.

ET, hydrea and feeling fatigued and depressed
A couple of months later my haemotologist said I lost so much blood she decided to give me two full
iron
infusions two weeks apart. When I came for the second
iron
infusion I was advised that she will be leaving the clinic and I would see a new haemotologist.

Iron test results advise please!
No change in symptoms ( lethargic, exercise intolerance, cold hand & feet, brain fog) I have had the results back from a
iron
test and wondered if I need to supplement, although the most results are within range they are at the low end.

Help with reading bloods
She is asking for a scan as she wants to rule out Pituitary adenomas plus she is going to see a haematologist as her
iron

Iron Bisglycinate
I have been taking Nutravita
iron
bisglycinate 28mg x 2 tabs on alternate days for 3 1/2 months. My ferritin levels were originally 50 and have only risen to 67. I’m confused about the dose of the
iron
. Is 28mg of
iron
bisglycinate equivalent to 28mg elemental
iron
?

Iron - test results - advice please
Hi - In a nutshell I'm hypothyroid with a lot of stomach issues - gastritis amongst other things - plus poor converter (I have the dud deiodinase enzyme - test done privately) I mentioned to the GP that I also get a bit out of breath - when I read about 'air hunger' on here it really struck a chord.

Although the signs have been building up in my blood results for some time, I am nevertheless devastated to have it confirmed. 3 weeks ago my hb was 99 today it was 92 My consultant told me it wouldn't hurt to continue with the
iron
tablets she prescribed although she doesn't think they will have much
