Monitoring when starting Folic Acid and Ferrous fumerate
At this point, also measure
iron
and folate levels in people being treated for B12 deficiency to ensure that other deficiencies have not been masked. On completion of folic acid treatment to confirm a response.

Medichecks ferritin results and ranges

No vitamin/
supplements were taken for at least 3 days before a blood test.
The new Medichecks range is significantly different from the previous one. How do I now calculate results based on previous readings?

iron panel blood test
Hi all, I have quarterly
iron
Panel blood test booked on Wednesday.
Do I need to stop vitamins with biotin in for an
panel blood test please? Or is it just for thyroid blood tests that biotin is stopped? Help appreciated, thank you.

Hair Loss with Acalabrutinib
According to my oncologist my
iron
is low and this is the reason for the loss of hair. Has anyone else experienced this and how did you combat it?

Sudden recent darkness under eyes
I am thinking this is more likely a nutrient issue, like
iron
or B12 maybe? But haven't felt particularly fatigued so wondered if this can also be the result of CLL. Have any of you noticed this during your W&W? Thanks.

stop wasting TIME , MONEY and SUFFERING Use iron infusions first line for those whose ferritin is suitable
If you are one, then great, get on with
iron
plus any adjunctive treatment that might be required if
iron
doesn’t remove symptoms completely . If a non-responder, then don’t waste time taking oral
iron
for years and years pointlessly.

I want to give up. I have no energy to keep going.
All my vitamins are optimal, I had
iron
IV, I tried t4 only, t4 + t3, ndt (Armour, Naturethroid, Thai NDTs), ndt + t4, ndt + t3 over the last 7 years and tried HC. I consulted two holistic gynos in the US for sex hormones, my sex hormones are perfect.

Heme iron versus ferrous gluconate
There is a debate about whether vegans get enough
iron
, but
iron
deficiency is rare in well-nourished men. And excess
iron
is not benign. &, of course, cancer cells tend to accumulate it."]

Do Drs get a bonus for prescribing certain drugs ?

I really need this one with my Antiphospholipid Syndrome and low B12 but she did comment I am not anemic because my
levels are in range. They would be I am prescribed folic acid and I take an
iron
supplement !

Please help me interpret these results!
Ferritin - 28 (13-150) *total
iron
was normal . Bilirubin- 3 (4-21) . CRP - 12.4 (0-5) *this is typical for me . HBAC1 38 mmol/mol (20-42) *I’m not overweight Can anyone please help me determine if these results are somehow thyroid related?

Three Arrows iron repair price hike! Possible alternatives?
I was about to re-order Three Arrows
iron
repair simply heme from the States and, to my horror, the price for 3 bottles has increased from $66 in April to $85 today!! Both prior to P&P. Can anyone suggest a suitable alternative? Thanks 🙏
