Any others with endo had an Autoimmune/positive ANA and CTD screen (with anemia)?
A few months back I was tested for a bunch of things due to extreme fatigue and what looked to be a butterfly facial rash, and it turned out not only my
iron
levels were on the floor (5!)

what to think?
My
iron
was low 5 years ago (although not anemic obviously) but it was never mentioned to me and on test I just had it was normal - ferritin 25. I was frankly hoping it would be low and that would be the reason for all of this.

Advice for Ongoing Condition?
Slim Taking Multivitamins, B12 Oral spray, High Dose Vit D and occasional
Iron
Tablet. 3 Monthly b12 injections. No other conditions (I find this suspicious, I am not that healthy!) Occasional Drinker but significantly cut down. No Drugs. No Smoking. What is my next step?

Impatient Patient feeling anxious 😬
Spoke to GP yesterday and they said my
iron
levels and vitamin levels are fine! They won’t increase to 50mcg levothyroxine for another 4 weeks after doing blood test. Feels like this is all being dragged out when it could be sorted out sooner!

Low Energy
hey all, I completed my C25K last October and felt great 😊 however, it was short lived as in December, I found my
iron
levels were very low and so made it impossible for me to run, my
iron
levels are now back to a normal level so rather than diving back in to a 30 min run, I have started the C25K again

Enlarged Lymph Nodes & Vaccines
Like many of us, Fatigue is an ongoing problem, and at last I have been given an '
Iron
' supplement in the hope that it will approve matters in that regard. I am also told that it takes 1-4 weeks to kick in. Has anyone had similar experience's?. All the best. Ron.

After 3 years of B12 injections I suddenly need them more frequently?
My
iron
and folate levels are good. I haven’t had any type of acute or chronic stress like an infection or new health problem. My B12 phials are all in date! Feeling a bit baffled.

interesting find
puzzles me is if I’m having to have high amounts of b12 shots because of p.a and functional b12 deficiency why do other supplements work to keep my other levels up when I’m on them,it’s a bit contradictory saying I can’t absorb because of no intrinsic factor and yet I can see my other ranges,ie folate ,

coming off Pramipexole and Ropinorole
I will also take
iron
tablets, with orange juice, an hour before breakfast so on an empty stomach, then I can take my calcium tablets mid morning without them interfering with the
iron
absorption, is that correct?

Timing your tea/coffee (even decaff) for best iron absorption from diet and supplements
Coffee with a hamburger meal found to reduce
iron
absorption from that meal by 39% and tea by 64% Having coffee one hour before a meal, no effect on absorption of food
iron
. Having coffee 1 hour after a meal had the same impact on absorption as having it during the meal.

sleeping pills
My GP says my
iron
test came back normal and wants me to try Pregablin. I am reluctant . I want to explore other alternatives. Do any sleeping pills override the RL ? Magnesium has been suggested… but how much and which one? Any suggestions would be gratefully received. X

Feeling woefully undermedicated……
Ferritin continues to be inadequate 42 ug/L [23.0 - 300.0] and I’ve ordered a full
iron
panel. I think I’ve read that low ferritin can be a factor poor tolerance of thyroid medication. Can anyone confirm or elaborate on this?

Comments On Blood Test Results Please
I note from comparing my last T3 that it remains the same; my TSH is the same but my T4 is down, and my
Iron
has been slowly decreasing over the last two years of tests. If anyone wants to know for reference, I will post figures asked for, but I've already written enough.
