hip pains returning post THR
I had my THR last Friday, and was discharged on Sunday. I am taking full dose paracetamol and ibuprofen, but no codeine as I react badly. On the recommendation of the rheumy I have upped my pred from 6.5mg to 10mg, then will reduce on Monday to 7.5mg for a week before returning back to 6.5mg. However

Hello! New here! Can you take collagen supplements with potassium iodide at 50mg with Hashmotos disease?
I am very curious because I have leaky gut and want to supplement with collagen which I heard helps leaky gut. I heard potassium iodide is good for hashmotos as its like a detox for the thyroid. If you can help that's great thanks guys. Xx

Any tips pls ..? Dad's really tired of is cough - that's now a mix of dry (mainly) and some mucous
Hi, the mucous is not really coming out now. But the dry cough is new. The hospital checked for an infection (given the dry cough), but didn't spot anything which is a relief.
So, my question is really about how best to handle a cough that's dry , with just a little mucous ..?
He's using codeine

Not reacting well to T3
It got elevated due to me trying to take
iodine
. I took a small dose of it, under 100 mcg and just like it did last time I tried it, it threw my thyroid out of balance. I stopped taking it. My TSH back in Dec was 6.6, so where it is now, things have improved.

worried about thyroidectomy
hi everyone, I’m new here’ but not new to thyroid issues unfortunately. I got diagnosed with graves in 2017 after the birth of my first baby. Since then I have had countless relapses, they’ve all been managed with Carbimazole/ptu but as time goes on the time between relapses is getting way shorter and

Myelofibrosis and bone pain
how do people manage bone pain with Myelofibrosis. I used to get a dull ache in my shin bone only at night occasionally but now it is just about daily and is impacting on my ability to sleep. I bought CBD oil but it is not really helping and paracetamol doesn’t work at all. I don’t want to get into

Tramadol and RLS
So the Doc was still scrambling around not to prescribe an ipoid. And the Mayo did suggest tramadol or codeine. So l accepted another trial of a long acting Tramadol 50 mgs x 2.. Start today. Survey on diet, nutrition and health knowledge and awareness - Final Reminder!
Iodine
, a nutrient found in dairy and some fish, plays an important role in thyroid disease, but is not well known by the public. Understanding how people gain information about diet and (thyroid) health, to convert it into practice is important to inform awareness campaigns and medical education.

Horizant
After pregabalin and gabapentin both made me nervous (I successfully tolerated the pregabalin for years, with daytime sedation however). Codeine also seems to be waking me up instead of sedating me. Doctor is suggesting trying Horizant. I know it is for people who experience symptoms all day, but
