BMB and ET diagnosis
I'm awaiting results of my BMB, have already had negative blood tests for MPL, Jak2, BCR and Calr. I had a colonoscopy a couple of years ago and a mammo this year. I've had 400+ platelets since 2014 (highest 524 in 11/22). Iron is OK. My Haem said that if an underlying cancer was the cause, it would

Has anyone ever had an Iron infusion?
Having suffered from underactive thyroid for years and taking Levothyroxine with mixed results, I also suffer from low iron and ferritin and Vitamin D. I find it hard to get my levels of iron up despite eating red meat and green veg and supplementing, and wondered if anyone had tried an iron infusion

MMH test just in, Iāve been on Aristo 125mcg since mid December and 5mcg compounded T3 for 8 weeks. FT3 6.8 (3.1-6.8) FT4 27.7 (12-22) TSH <0.01 (0.27-4.2) I have worked hard on gut health so could well be absorbing better. I have very slowly lost 2 kg over 8 weeks but been super good about restricting

Synthetics seperate meds do not work for me I had just came off of t4 and t3 separate meds after a year of feeling like I was going to die (no matter what adjustments etc). Pet scan did not show vasculitis but have to have a MRA of aorta but dr not too concerned I think. No panic for this scan which is next week. Also mri of brain due to heaviness. Could be connected to old ear problems but feels we should check. Also on letter blood test results Fe 4, ferritin 62,

Vitamin B complex before blood tests
I know that you should stop any b vitamin supplements for 3-7 days before a thyroid test due to the biotin but does this apply to other blood tests. GP wants me to do some blood tests next week for iron etc and wondering if I should stop the b complex before. TIA

Can stress or worries make a big difference in FBC numbers?
My wife's FBC has changed significantly over the past few weeks, while her medication has been the same for a year. During the past year she has been on anagrelide 3 a day, hydroxy 3 a week keeping her platelets at or around 250 white cells at or around 40 though over the past 8 months her Hgb keeps
