Bowel Obstruction
Hi All, I’ve posted a few times lately but I wanted to update that my poor mum is currently in hospital with a small bowel obstruction. They will not operate. They say they are 100% sure it’s the cancer and that it won’t clear. The CNS says she sees it quite a lot with OC and that it may well clear

Ovarian cancer recurrence
Firstly, hi to anyone who may stumble across my post. Long story short, I was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer back in 2020. I had an ultra radical debulking surgery in August that year, followed by 6 rounds of carbo/taxol and maintenance via olaparib. I had a CT scan back in August which highlighted

low grade ovarian cancer in the lungs
I had pleural effusion for 2 years. My doctor didn't say that the cancer could get into the lungs but it did. I received 6 rounds of weekly taxol and carbo platin but it didn't work. Now my doctor wants to stop all treatment and send me to hospice care. please let me know if you have had that experience

Does anyone have a bad experience taking senna ?
Does anyone else have side effects taking senna? The professionals that I am working with are still working out what is wrong with my digestive system and it is probably a combination of things. An eating disorder being one of them. As a result of the eating disorder l “feel” I need to take 2 senna

HELP! Firmagon reaction?
Hi - yesterday I had my 3rd monthly (80mg) injection of Firmagon. For all my previous injections, including the 2 initial loading doses, I did not have any major side effects, just some minimal soreness at the injection site which resolved in less than 2 days. Yesterday's injection was a little bit

IBS symptoms?
Hi, I’m hoping someone can give me some advice on my symptoms. I have had bowel issues for a long time (around 20 years) mainly in the form of gas and bloating and cycles of diarrhoea and constipation. The bloating part was the only bit that really got me down, the rest was manageable, so I decided

random ibs pain can’t move
Every few months I am poleaxed by excruciating wind type pains in my abdomen. The only relief is to lie on my side and stay there! No diarrhoea or constipation, just horrible pains. Can’t walk when it strikes. Lasts for a few hours then I’m ok. Why does wind hurt so bad but only now and then? The rest

can you have slow colonic transit and loose stool?
my recent colonic transit study indicates slow transit with 54% of content still in the transverse colon at 48 hours. This does explain the constant cramping I have below the belly button and pressing down of that area to stimulate a BM. But it’s odd that the results are slow transit when I can have

IBS and wind
I have had IBS for years and I am really suffering at the moment not only with the unpredictability of BMs but also terrible bloating and wind. It seems to be worse as soon as I go out shopping or to social events. I wonder if anxiety is partly to blame. I keep a food diary and am really careful
