Any bladder issues while on taxotere
I posted earlier that I had to be catheterized. The urologist removed the catheter but I am still having issues with my bladder working properly. I was given self catheters which I am using. I was told that it can take awhile for bladder to wake up after catheter. I was wondering if anyone else experienced

Heart in constant a fibrillation, help advice
My husband had cardiac arrest on 3/5. After cpr and being shocked 2x his heart began again. He had a catheterization done in the hospital and a defibrillator put in the next day. He has no heart blockages. They cannot find what or location creating his continued a fib. So ablation is not an option

Has anyone refused any assessment tests?
What a crazy question eh, refusing tests needed to put you on transplant list? My brother is refusing to have a right heart catheterisation (like an angiogram). This may mean they won’t put him on list as they can’t be sure his heart is strong enough. I am at a loss. Will they definitely say it’s a no

Stressed and Confused
Hi All, This is my first time posting. Just went for a Coronary CT Angiogram and was told I have what looks like a 50 percent blockage in one of the arteries into my heart (not sure which one). On two occasion in the last year I've had some mild / chest arm pain for about 5-10 minutes, and thought it

Any advice on recurring UTIs?
Due to nerve damage/urinary retention, I have been doing
intermittent
self
catheterisation
for years (although perhaps not as diligently as I should have been) However, things have been getting worse for a while now and I have better at keeping on top of things.

Stents causing unusual EKG
In 2009, after experiencing chest discomfort I requested a stress test. I immediately received angioplasty and 2 stents. Since then, I have twice had the experience of receiving an EKG deemed alarming by the cardiologist who recommended another catheterization. Both times, no blockage was discovered.

Advice please for first time self catheterisation
Hi everyone, I've been waiting 10 months for urodynamic testing but due to covid my hospital are not performing the test. I visited my urologist yesterday for a flow test and as I'm still retaining the nurse taught me to self cath and said to do it twice a day. She gave me the speedicath standard 12

Catheters
Or son is twelve and has always had bladder problems. His continence nurse has told us that he isn't emptying his bladder fully and said that he should be self catheterising. This would have the added benefit that he could wear a smaller, more discreet pad at school. He hates wearing pads and finds

Fixes for OAB??
I’ve been having a terrible time with OAB. My urologist has suggested some treatments and I’d like to know what experiences people here may have had? Two of the least invasive are Botox and Interstim. I’d like to know if anyone has had these done and their experiences with them? The doctor has said

Urine retention
I told my urologist that I saw a little blood in my urine. It only happened once, but 5 weeks later and after 2 negative urinalysis tests, he insisted on scoping my bladder for tumors (none seen). While in there, he showed me scar tissue in my prostate from radiotherapy and cryotherapy. I never had surgery

Cardiac Catheterization on top of Type 2 Diabetes and CKD
I am female, age 77 have Type 2 diabetes, Stage 3B CKD, no thyroid gland, and now a heart condition. Due to have cardiac catheterization in September. I had to cut back on Metformin when my kidney function dropped, but it has now improved, GFR 38. HbA1c 5.6. I have to stop Metformin altogether 3 days

Weird feeling 3 weeks after getting stents.
Hi! I am a 53 year old male. I am very active and play Table Tennis for couple of hours almost every day. I got a nuclear stress test that showed abnormality. This prompted my cardiologist for me to get a catheterization done. During Catheterization the doctor discovered 99.9% was blocked and the radial

WOULD NEVER ASK SOMEONE TO DONATE A KIDNEY FOR ME!
Haven't been on in awhile. While doing the testing to get on transplant list, a suspicious mass in right kidney was found. Had to get an MRI and then CT Biopsy which showed renal cell crcinoma. Because of Corona Virus couldn't have surgery for 3 month. The surgeon took out my right kidney on 07/

Self catheterising at school
Hi there, My child has recently begun to self catheterise following an illness. She uses CIC and will have to catheterise at school. Has anyone had to put a health care plan together for school? My child’s school hasn’t been very proactive and I am keen to have it done before September.
