Weird feeling 3 weeks after getting stents.
Hi! I am a 53 year old male. I am very active and play Table Tennis for couple of hours almost every day. I got a nuclear stress test that showed abnormality. This prompted my cardiologist for me to get a catheterization done. During Catheterization the doctor discovered 99.9% was blocked and the radial

WOULD NEVER ASK SOMEONE TO DONATE A KIDNEY FOR ME!
Haven't been on in awhile. While doing the testing to get on transplant list, a suspicious mass in right kidney was found. Had to get an MRI and then CT Biopsy which showed renal cell crcinoma. Because of Corona Virus couldn't have surgery for 3 month. The surgeon took out my right kidney on 07/

Self catheterising at school
Hi there, My child has recently begun to self catheterise following an illness. She uses CIC and will have to catheterise at school. Has anyone had to put a health care plan together for school? My child’s school hasn’t been very proactive and I am keen to have it done before September.

Bladder contracture Options?
As a result of PC treatment and a TURP (after radiation, not advised) to correct a brutal catheterization I now have extreme difficulty urinating and at this time can not even get a catheter into my bladder. I have straight caths arriving later today and hope to be able to get one of them to work since

Another PET scan and ?
I just got another PSA test because I am scheduled to have a second Axumin (sp) PET scan in mid may. The last one was inconclusive so I don;t want another unless there is a good chance it will be diagnostic. My PSA is now 75 representing a doubling time of about 4.87 months. The test before that

Eventually got to see a doctor! But still have concerns.
After having a letter come through informing me I had cirrhosis stage 4 after having a high score on the fibro scan. I have tried to get an appointment with doctor. I managed to get a appointment with my GP who said he couldn’t really help a lot because liver problems was not his specialty. He told

Monday round-up
Hello and a good Monday morning to you all once again. Has everyone else endured the relentless greyness of sky that’s been the weather in my locality all weekend? It hasn’t been inclined to add much cheeriness to life. Finally on Sunday afternoon (just before the light was due to fade anyway), the

Anyone left with raised bluish areas under skin after catheterisation - on neck?
Cardiac surgeon said it was not a raised vein (which is what I thought). The area is quite small and surgeon said it was probably permanent like a tattoo.

Who brought the cheese?...I have more whine!
Greetings! I'm so over this whole situation. I was optimistic after meeting with my surgeon Tuesday last. After 6 of 12 chemo treatments my tumor has shrunk by half. The plan was to continue with the treatments to further shrink the tumor, have a smaller surgery and be done with this insanity by May

Concerns about Salvage Radiation
I start radiation January 6th. I think I can get the water/bladder thing down, but I have concerns about the other end. Did you do enemas before each session and is it OK to do a daily enema? I am not particularly regular and would like to be in the best position to avoid damaging that area. Also,

Urinary Retention after Prostatectomy
Has anyone experienced urethral scarring or inflammation following catheterization after prostate removal surgery? I had robot assisted prostatectomy this past summer with severe urinary blockage following removal of catheter one week from surgery date. Ended up in emergency room and was re-catheterized

Post Angiogram Catheterisation Discomfort
Morning, last Thursday I had a Angiogram Catheterisation procedure. I preferred the wrist entry point, but the other lab where that was done already had someone in there and would have to wait and I was the last patient of the day at 5pm. So, I had to have the Catheter inserted via the groin. Now a week

My cardiac MRI morphed into an angiogram set for 3 weeks on
Sigh. I went in this morning expecting to have a contrast cardiac MRI and a chat with the cardiologist. Instead I ended up sitting with the cardiologist who informed me he's rescheduled and switched my MRI to a cardiac catheterisation (which he also referred to as: a cath, an angio, and a coronary angiogram

Careers / jobs that suit people who have Parkinson's disease ?
Looking for suggestions. Good paying jobs that don't require a great deal of manual dexterity, writing, or psychological stress? My current job is getting harder to do.
