Any bladder issues while on taxotere

I posted earlier that I had to be catheterized. The urologist removed the catheter but I am still having issues with my bladder working properly. I was given self catheters which I am using. I was told that it can take awhile for bladder to wake up after catheter. I was wondering if anyone else experienced any issues as this. One of my oncologists stated that the taxotere could be problem because it effects the nerve endings. Just a little concerned that will not go back to normal. Thanks for any input.

After a full week with Foley catheter, removal did not help flow, so uro said back in, but this time a 16 instead of a 24. Another week with it in. Then removal went fine. Bladder released 600 mg of urine, then 550, then 600 again. It's been out now for 5 days and all is well on the urination problem.

So, stick with it. Cross your fingers that the bladder wakes up. It sometimes is not instantaneous upon removal.
