Hi I was just wondering if anyone else has had bladder issues and found out it’s related to endo? I struggle to empty my bladder and it hurts when I try to and the urologist has suggested that I self catheterise to help me empty my bladder I thought it could have been related to my endo but he seemed to think it’s not, just wondered if any one else has struggled with this?

Hi Jemma97

It can be related to endo

I was put on Solifenacin, to help control with bladder urges.

Suggest maybe question it further

Thank you that’s really helpful I’m on a waiting list for a diagnostic cystoscopy too so hopefully that will come through soon!

I’ve had huge problems with bladder, mainly frequency and odd UTI or these days having to push. MRI shows uterus pressing on the bladder, whether endo related or not they’ll discover next week. I’ll let you know!

That sounds like mine! Is it painful for you too? Please let me know it’s so uncomfortable it’s really getting me down now especially having to self catheterise I’m only 23 it’s just not right ☹️

When do you have an appointment for the cystoscopy? If you haven’t heard anything it can be worth chasing and, if you can, let them know if you’re available for short notice appointment.

The other week I had a UTI, I was fairly sure, but can’t actually tell these days very well. I did feel better after two lots antibiotics. I can’t sit upright for long, I realised it was this causing most of the frequency and pain is sitting and activity. Last week I didn’t do much, today I did some cleaning, about 3/4hr and now desperately hoping the blessed Oramorph will kick in from earlier and just taken a Tramadol and paracetamol.

I’ll let you know if there’s a connection, I’m fairly sure there is.

I’m still waiting for it I only saw my urologist 2 weeks ago so I think there must be a waiting list!

Omg it’s awful isn’t it, I used to be embarrassed when I was working in the office because I had to go so often and I’d be there for ages, I’m so grateful to be working from home now!

Luckily mine was only a few people and they were ok. I ended up using a garden relaxer chair, keyboard on lap and screen edge of the desk. It was much more comfortable but looked odd. It was a much better posture for computer use though 🤣

Don’t leave it too long, I’m sure if I hadn’t phoned a few times I’d still be waiting for a date. It’s a fine line between being a pain and getting answers.

Hope it doesn’t take long for you

Omg that actually sounds like such a good idea haha!

I will do thank you I had to ring so many times just to get a follow up with my urologist and gynaecologist they don’t make it easy do they!
