All about me and my Myelofibrosis
I used to gave very bad Pruritus in the beginning and tried
Interferon
injections for a time, no relief gained so I tried UHV radiation three times a week and that helped the maddening pruritus. I still got the bone aches.

interferon
/ Ribaviron combo. I wooped its ! I heard recently at my hospital about these new meds and I learn on here they are being rationed. In my day it was a post code lottery if you got treatment unless on a trial.

Taking Interferon for the first time - when do you take and why do you take at that time ?
Last time I saw him (in June) he said I would probably be starting Pegasys
Interferon
on my next visit. I understand this is a weekly injection and there may be side effects (feeling a bit crap etc) and therefore my question is...

Knowing what I know now
I don't feel I was told about any lingering side effects of
interferon
/ribavirin treatment. I was told about the side effects that may occur during the actual treatment but not that there would be lingering, permanent damage caused by the treatment.

Hi all,I'm new here
I'm in a wheelchair because of the effects of the initial
Interferon
which I didn't have when my Hep C was cured.I have many other conditions all because of Anaemia when I was first pregnant.

I'm feeling a lot better... I think my platelet factory may have joined a union and have better pay and conditions!
She also took on board my anxieties about HU and my preference to give
interferon
a try first if I have any chance of doing so. Regards HU. I very, very nearly started (OK I am a coward!)

Stage IIIA at 28
She was against
interferon
, both full dose and pregylated. She even stated that there is no significant percentage decrease of melanoma coming back after taking Yervoy(ipilimumad) for my staging. After going over all possible side effects I decided I will not be taking any systematic treatments.

HCV treatment update
Back then the common treatment consisted of
interferon
. Depression caused by going 'cold turkey' (alcohol), or raising its ugly head after having been masked for years by drink - nobody knows. However, his mental health wasn't stable enough to undergo the treatment.

New MS biomarker
Serum NfL levels were higher for patients starting natalizumab and rituximab compared with those starting
interferon
, glatiramer acetate, and fingolimod. The levels decreased over time with all of these treatments.

The MPN consultant is thinking of putting me on Pegasys
Interferon
which I don't know much about. I have been told it's a weekly injection. As I have an upcoming holiday and my consultant is also away I have been told I will see him again in September when I will probably start on the

Was it Haematology or Mythology?
I asked her if it would be possible to have
interferon
instead. She responded with, "I don't know where you have been getting your information from...."
