Availability of Interferon Scotland
I am currently on Pegylated
Interferon
and we are considering moving to Scotland, and wondered if this drug is readily available in hospitals there. I know that not all hospitals here in England provide it and hence the question regarding Scotland.

Change from Interferon to Pegasys
At last my trust has approved the change from basic
Interferon
to Pegasys. I have only been allowed standard
Interferon
for the past year, but the last few months my platlets have risen from 350 to nearly 700, and I have had to increase my injections to every other day.

New treatment options
https://www.targetedonc.com/news/expert-highlights-benefits-of-fedratinib-in-subgroup-of-patients-with-myelofibrosis Mesa: It’s an exciting time in MPNs without a doubt. I would break it down into 2 advances. The first is in patients with ET and PV. At this meeting, there continues to be further updates

Pegasys and breast feeding
I injected
interferon
throughout pregnancy and thankfully all went well. I now need to start taking it again. I'm currently breast feeding and would like to continue. I appreciate there probably isn't very much evidence about this but does anyone have any insight? Or has anyone done it?

Diabetes 2 - cause & treatment
One last problem – Herbs that induce B7 by lymphocytes also induce Inflammation by lym-phokines –
Interferon
, Interleukin 6 & Tumor Necrosis Factors. Inflammation leads to more Antibodies which results in-failure. The problem is fixed by a 2nd herb that minimizes in-flammation.

Positive effect of interferon alpha 2b???
I also bought some over-the-counter stuff, like lactobacteria and a pack of suppositories with 1 mln units of
interferon
in each. Some women on Russian gyno/baby planning messaged boards were discussing it. I used a few suppositories one by one later but did not notice any difference.

I hated those
interferon
needles, yet every two days I bared my arse (ass, butt) and my mother stabbed a needle in me. I took responsibility for myself. I did what had to be done whether I liked it or not, no matter how much it scared me.

Once a week recombinant interferon injections
This is amazing news for me as I cannot tolerate any other meds and was declined funding for pegylated
interferon
. I do realise there is a normal variance in platelets but this may well be an option for others in the same boat.👏

Beta
Interferon
, put my head down, asked questions and learned what was happening to me. Twenty-odd years later I have survived and lead a reasonably good existence. Not what my original prognosis was, but I survived all the downhills, scary strange pains and embarrassments and so can "YOU".

Post 585 Take your time 8 Jan 2020
I like "YOU" had it easy in the sense that there was only one medicine available to me, so taking it was easy no decision, just like it is for "YOU" For me back then,
Interferon
Beta 1B. For you today, Ocrevus. Do not worry about the rest, it is the strongest, and that is what "YOU" want.

Interferon and Hydroxea
I visited an ET specialist who has recommended I keep waiting for
Interferon
to kick in ( I’ve been injecting for six months with limited results) and add in Hydroxea to bring my platelets down quickly due to symptoms. What are your experiences of taking both at the same time?

I did learn when I was taking
Interferon
Beta 1b that it was best to inject into a fatty part of my body. For years my Mother gave me a needle in the butt. I even had to ask my Uncle once to inject me. Not easy for him, I am sure, but I did not miss my shoot.
