I have been struggling with pelvic pain for 2 years... My idea of its origin is the pelvic inflammatory disease from an unidentified pathogen (20% of cases, although u. urealiticum was isolated from urine at one point). It was a classical case - I was not dressed appropriately for the surrounding temperature for good 5-6 hours. Now, that was a 3rd relapse of PID. I always went to my GP for any concerns, but he and his gynos missed EVERYTHING. I'm in Ontario, horrified by the local healthcare. Immigrate to Canada, they said. It's a 1st world country, they said. LOL. Here, if a gyno is unsure of the cause of pain, he/she simply puts you on Visanne to keep you away for 3 months or more.
Anyway, at one point I went back to Russia to just PAY and get some treatment. Frankly, they found nothing interesting except a small endo polyp which was treated with Dufaston, quite successfully. I also bought some over-the-counter stuff, like lactobacteria and a pack of suppositories with 1 mln units of interferon in each. Some women on Russian gyno/baby planning messaged boards were discussing it. I used a few suppositories one by one later but did not notice any difference. Just recently, about a year later, I found leftover 3 sups and decided to use them together to get rid of their container, as I was cleaning my fridge. So, I did just that, consuming a total dose of 3 mln units. I felt pretty horrible for the next 2 days, with migraines and very negative mood (typical side effects), but about 4 days later, I noticed that I became less fatigued, more like my normal self. It has been 3 weeks since the dose, and the effect is pretty stable. The pain is still there, but I am now able to work through it and frankly, I somehow pay less attention to it. I could even call it less excruciating. So, that's what I would like to share. I think I need more of those suppositories. They and Clavulin in the past made the most difference.
Cheers!
