Interferon causing hypothyroidism: Experience of taking additional thyroid medication
I have been taking interferon for ET for nearly 2 years. Recently I realised I was feeling quite unwell with a raft of poor quality of life stuff going on. Additional tests in June showed an under active thyroid, so for several months I have been on a significantly reduced dose of interferon to see if

Wow there's a group for Essential Thrombocythaemia!!
So after living with ET for the past 10years and never doing any research into what it was or how many other people are affected by it, I thought it was time to finally have a look! Just to give you some insight into my background I’m a 23year old female living in the UK and was diagnosed with ET

Does anyone with MPD and taking interferon suffer with stomach problems?
I haven been experiencing problems with trapped/painful wind at night which disturbs my sleep. Have had scans, tests and medication for all obvious potential causes as well as an elimination diet regime for most food allergies including a 3 week detox eating plan. As I am on Interferon I wondered if

Quinces and beetroot and pears, oh my!
I am writing this with all my fingers and toes crossed, because I'm still hoping for an Indian summer, However, there's little doubt in my mind that Autumn is here. There's a different feeling in the air, and if you look closely you can see the leaves starting to turn. Despite my preference for tropical
