Great, I have a new obsession
Quick profile: I'm 35 female, 5'7" 125lbs, 2 children, exercise regularly, diagnosed with OCD/GAD and Panic Disorder. Normally, my health anxiety centers around cancer. I've diagnosed myself with at least 8 different kinds of cancer and I keep bouncing from one to the next (though breast is my largest

Sensor Update: DEXCOM
This past week, the sensor worked really well. It worked so well in fact, I had to get up early on Tuesday morning. It turned out, my numbers were under 100 mg/dl. The alarm went off and I had some juice and a snack before having breakfast that morning. Then, I didn’t have any insulin shots until

Hello everyone. I'm in need of help. I had the following labs done yesterday, and have a Dr. appointment tomorrow.
Hello! I am new to the group, and so thankful I'm here. So much knowledge. I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in 2009. Radioactive Iodine ablation was done in July 09 and I was then diagnosed with Graves disease. I went through radiation on my eyes, and a year later had orbital decompression surgery

Steroid pump for secondary adrenal insufficiency with traumatic brain injury
Hi. I’m new on this site but I wanted to share my AI stories, answer some questions and hopefully find some more resources to help us with this challenging condition. I’m reading that a lot of people on this site seem to be taking their steroids orally. I too was started on oral medication, dexamethasone

Spreading awareness
After nearly dying on 1-7-2016 I got diagnosed with oesophageal varices needing 6band and glued, cirrhosis, heart disease & insulin dependent diabetes through alcohol & cocaine abuse. I have remained abstinent since that day, me and my wife now volunteer with the NHS to help with alcohol and addictions

Type2 Diabetes
I know my liver is working fine,so I can rule
insulin
resistance
, so it must be either the medication I'm having to take or something else. All the consultant would say is, "just accept it". So much for diabetes research. Very frustrating.

They've connected osteoarthritis to
insulin

and a high carb diet. Wow. https://crownmd.net/your-joints-on-cake/ Yet another reason to go low carb. If the admins would rather not put in a link, just google Your Joints on Cake.

Latest results
These are my latest thyroid test results from Blue Horizon. Their advice is that my TSH is too low and if on medication, consider reducing it. However, I think these results don't look too bad. I am taking 3 grains of NatureThroid per day and I must say, I feel pretty good ( at last!! ) I would be so

PCOS making weight loss almost impossible
Help please! I have always been fat and found out the rason for that 20 years ago, in my 30s. I have PCOS which makes me insulin resistant, in turn making all carbs a hinderence to weight loss. Yes, that includes fruit, root veg and what I call 'nice veg' (peas, sweetcorn). All the slimming clubs
