Update
So, I've had insulin added to my ever growing list of meds. I moved to the ward but have had a set back. Call me Linda and The Giant Breast. My sugar levels went sky high, I'm back on the insulin drip, it's been hourly ops though the night, nil by mouth and the likely hood of more surgery 😔

I’m retiring on July 3, 2024. This means I’ll no longer be forced to use CVS Specialty to receive my anti-rejection meds. Frankly, I’ve had a lot of trouble with them. Two questions: 1. If you are willing, please share information about which prescription medication insurance plan you are using in

New Study on Inulin
Nothing is going to be the long term solution to anything. I posted an article on Inulin earlier that had great promise. Now, this : https://news.weill.cornell.edu/news/2024/05/common-type-of-fiber-may-trigger-bowel-inflammation

5/14/24; My current attitude - striving to be an old curmudgeon
My tremor was misdiagnosed as essential tremor in ’09 and was correctly diagnosed 7/17/2011, so I consider this July to be my 15th anniversary and therefore feel entitled to blow off some steam. A couple things that irk me. One, people who have been diagnosed within the past 6 or 7 years, often less

I don’t care which supplement is working.
I feel awesome; the combo could be placebo.
Edit 08/30/24: I took Inulin and a Probiotic less than a month. I quit mainly because of sleep problems
Today I took: - 2 scoops of Inulin and a Probiotic first thing in the morning. My whole body felt tingly for 45 minutes. (Tingly may be the wrong

INSULIN TOLERANCE TEST - Low cortisol & chronic insomnia
I’m still battling to get to the bottom of my chronic insomnia. I have low cortisol, also oestrogen and testosterone (despite HRT) and DHEA. I’ve had a Short Synacthen Test, which I passed as most thyroid people do. So I now know the problem doesn’t lie with the adrenals. I presume it’s with the

In Our Time: Hormones
On BBC Radio 4 yesterday (8th February 2024), almost an hour of discussion about hormones. I don't think there will be much new to members who have been around for a while. But there might be glimpses illustrating interesting aspects of hormones across all animal life. Thyroid hormones do get several
