I have been using hydroxycobalamin Alternova 1mg/1ml but as my usual pharmacy is out of stock .now I am visiting Spain Barcelona and I am looking to buy hydroxycobalamin , I see that megamilbedoce is equivalent here of hydroxycobalamin but they have 10 mg 10 ampoule of 2 ml . pharmacists don’t speak English so I had a bit of trouble explaining:understanding them . Does anyone here use megamilbedoce ?

1) does it come in 1ml instead of 2 ml ?

2) and it says 10 mg? Which looks like a lot of it or a very strong dose! I have been taking 1 mg . I self inject twice a week . Does megamilbedoce come in smaller quantity ?

3) what needles do you use in Spain ? They didn’t have 2 ml syringes . Insulin syringe 0.33 width had only 0.5 ml!

there are English speaking pharmacists in the city centre I hear so I will visit those today ( not sure if Pharmacies are open on Sunday) or tomorrow .

Thank you in advance 🙏🏻.

Mia

hello MiaMavlankar, looked this up online and NHS imports this from Spain, 10 ampules x 10 mg (strength) x 2 ml (solution), so 5mg strength in half an ampule. Still v strong.

Believe this used for cyanide /smoke inhalation.

Hope you can find the usual 1 mg x 1ml ampules and injection equipment.

Best wishes

We do have members in Spain ,so I hope that you hear from them .

Megamilbedoce ampoules are Hydrocobalamin , but massive ampoules 10mg x 2ml . So that 0.5ml syringe would give you a dose of 2.5 mg. I imagine that they are to treat patients with smoke inhalation. A huge dose . It would not harm you . Hope that you get a better response from a member in Spain .

The official Spanish medicines site is here:

cima.aemps.es/cima/publico/...

You can even choose to view it in English.

As far as I am aware, it will have every approved medicine listed - every dosage and variation.

I think you sometimes have to use the Spanish names and terms when searching but the interface is good English.

I don't know the answer to your question but I'd be amazed if it wasn't on this site.

I live in the south of Spain. They don't use Hydroxycabolamine here in Spain they use Cynocobalamine and where I live you need a prescription for any of them. You may be able to get the 1,000 mg Hydroxycabolamine but the farmacy may need to order it. I get mine from Germany. They do have 1 ml insulin syringes normally in the farmacies..
