So impressed and relieved we have finally got somewhere with a poo !!
After 2 years on movicol and it having no effect, apart from stains in knickers every day. Not 1 single solid poo in 2 years, we were at our wits end to help her. Sad upsetting post (new member)
My 72 year old dad was diagnosed on 17th August with 3 brain tumours. He had a MRI and CAT scan on 17th Aug due to forgetting a few things about a week before and not knowing who the prime minister was or the year. He was then kept in hospital and put on steroids. It was like he had had a stroke slightly

After doing a lot of research on my own and participating in seminars, I finally got my doctors to agree to allow me to try a GLP1 inhibitor. My diabetes has been well controlled and I have even cut down on my insulin use. But I am unable to lose weight so we are trying Ozempic, (semaglutide). I have

Pharmacological significance of extra-oral taste receptors
Every so often, I see a paper which seems odd enough to be interesting despite having no obvious application, at least not in the foreseeable future! [i]Eur J Pharmacol. 2021 Sep 5;174480. doi: 10.1016/j.ejphar.2021.174480. Online ahead of print.

Resetting the Circadian Clock
Yes, I am kind of spitballing here. Could resetting the circadian rhythm help with PD? Effects of Intermittent Fasting on the Circulating Levels and Circadian Rhythms of Hormones

Cortisol blood test
Hi again, please excuse my apparent ignorance, probably brought about due to poor or insufficient advice from the Medical profession. I have two questions: I have been told by my GP to have a Cortisol blood test. The only information given to me is to have it done at 9 am. I asked him if I should stop

Help! Trepidation setting in…
Having not run since I was 11 years old (I remember that day well….) I have decided that I need to get off of my bottom and take my health more seriously. Having largely ignored insulin dependent diabetes since my diagnosis, due to the fact that I am invincible, having slowly and blatantly increased
