Newbie just started chemo
Hello everyone, I started chemo yesterday. I'm on doxetaxelle and cyclophosphamide. I have to inject lonquex today. I'm a diabetic and use insulin every day but this injection makes me a bit nervous to be honest, I'm just unsure. Is it painful. I'm a newbie, so any help would be much appreciated.

28-day Prescribing - Evidence
For many years now, there has (in the UK) been a near-universal imposition of 28-day prescribing. There is, quite simply, no rational basis for this policy in relation to long term medicines on repeat. There is incoherency where we are told that we can only have a 28-day supply of a medicine even if

Diabetics are Vulnerable to Covid19- Precautions to be taken
From the data so far, it appears that people with Diabetes tend to get infected easily by Covid19 unless adequate precautions are taken...and especially if the Diabetic is more than 60 years, the risk further increases. While research is not very clear the reason for such vulnerability, but the experts

Just a thought on coronavirus and medication
I am wondering if some of the older folks who aren’t making it are dying because they are not being given their medication for other illnesses. Many have 2-3 underlying illnesses but would the doctors treating the virus give people their insulin shots? Or heart medication? Or even know what drugs they

Type 2 Diabetes potential home remedy cure
Type 2 diabetes (also called diabetes mellitus) results from the perfect storm of not enough movement, too much of the wrong foods, emotional stress, lack of sleep, toxins, and genetics. I have been diagnosed 17 years ago. I have been in denial the whole time. Even though I was on insulin x2 with pregnancy. Am still on medication. I find it hard to accept I am diabetic and mostly forget.

ARMOUR
Hi I'm giving up Armour and going back to levothyroxine t4. The Armour gives me terrible non stopheadaches and feelings of an electric shock when I touch any area in my lower left face and neck. My t3 was 3.8 three years ago. It's now 4.8. The t4 seems to give me more energy at 100mcg. I have an endo

Holistic approach needed for complex medical issues
Awake after 2 hours sleep has become my regular pattern. I am now so desperate for sleep and am becoming quite scared about my very low mood. I have just read that taking Pramipexole for RLS could be the cause for my insomnia but I feel unable to cope with the symptoms of RLS without this medication

Getting prescription for specific make of Levo

I find myself wondering if folk who need insulin are given different makes with each repeat prescription. I realise needing insulin is something that

Does radiation/brachytherapy prevent my use of insulin pump, which radiation can damage?
Do I need to be concerned with radiation impacts on my insulin pump after prostate-area radiation treatment? I’m diabetic and use a Medtronic 670 hybrid insulin pump with a separate continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) sensor/transmitter. To prevent radiation damage to pump and CGM transmitter, I remove

I'm Paul and I've been on healthunclocked since November 2018 just after my partner passed away from terminal cancer. I had decided I needed to do something since I was around 17st and on 45 units of insulin twice a day. I started off by walking to work about 4 miles and eating sensibly. My diabetic
