First Post - Inhaler side effects worth it?
Should I continue with Relvar Ellipta despite the risk of pneumonia, or would it be more prudent to revisit my childhood
inhalers
? I would greatly appreciate any insights, experiences, or advice that you could offer on managing asthma and navigating the complexities of asthma medications.

Fed up to say the least!

Consultant wants to take me off inhalers
I had an appointment with my Respiratory Consultant and he's questioning my asthma diagnosis because my last set of breathing tests were normal. He said that you would expect to see something on the tests that indicates asthma and that even though I have a formal asthma diagnosis on my GP records he

I've been quiet- I have nothing to say
It was scary, coughing and gasping grabbing my
inhalers
and oxygen trying not to pass out. My lungs hurt, my throat hurt, my chest hurt and back hurt. I got an appointment with my doctor because my lungs were still really hurting a few days later. The stomach acid caused an infection in my lungs.

Progression
I have had a few
inhalers
but none ever felt as if they were helping and I raised this at a rehab course and was told that I may not feel better for taking it but I would feel worse if I didnt.

Asthma attack recovery
I was taking prednisolone at the start and I’m still taking all my
inhalers
as prescribed, but I only get the occasional day or two of relief. I was wondering if anyone else experienced something similar or could give me some advice.

Back Again
I was last on this forum about 7-8 years ago in 2015/2016 after my previous symptom free asthma flared up badly and left me very sick (back on
inhalers
, steroids, and multiple hospital admissions).

Trimbow
I have been using
inhalers
all my life. Have i suddenly developed poor technique? No I haven't. Previously been told I have good technique. Red up with this, " it's the patients fault". I get so frustrated and angry with her, but stay calm.

A fib and asthma inhalers
Have you been able to take combined
inhalers
without triggering an a fib attack ? I’ve been on Flovent for quite some time but recently needed something more to open me up. I’ve tried Spiriva Respimat which was great accept it dried my mouth out too much.

COPD?
He’s going to contact my gp for a referral to respiratory team. is that where they check breathing and give
inhalers
? I’m scared as to what it means for me in my future. I can tell my lung function isn’t brilliant but I’m 69 and smoked for many years. Thanks

Passive smoking and our pets
All pets are sensitive to nicotine so if you’re trying to quit smoking you should always be very careful that nicotine replacement products such as patches, gum,
inhalers
or e-cigarettes are kept out of paws’ reach.
How does passive smoking affect pets?

Offered montelukast
Inhalers
and a course of steroids. I was just wondering if anyone has experience of taking montelukast? Quite scared to take it because of the potential side effects! I'm finally seeing respiratory for my tricky asthma in December.
