So been on Trimble for a few months, prescribed by my Nurse at the G.P. surgery. Constant sore throat and hoarse voice. She is reluctant to take me off it (don't know why). How she wants me to use a spacer thing. Will try that. If I don't get on with that she said come in to see her as it's probably poor technique. I have been using inhalers all my life. Have i suddenly developed poor technique? No I haven't. Previously been told I have good technique. Red up with this, " it's the patients fault". I get so frustrated and angry with her, but stay calm.

When looking at different manufacturers technique videos I noticed that they're sometimes different . I'd looked because my asthma became uncontrolled when using Seretide & spacer wrongly for three years! Since I was diagnosed in my mid fifties I'd used inhalers the way my son had to in the late seventies πŸ™„. Not saying this is you but worth checking. I rinse my mouth & throat before inhaling as well as after, right or wrong I've this notion that I'm diluting the medication touching anywhere in my mouth before going down the airways. Have you checked Trimbow website and the instructions on the leaflet? I wonder why she changed you and how long she expects you to keep trying πŸ€”

I had my technique looked at in Hospital a few months ago. I have studied the leaflet. Will look at the video, Thank you for that. I have a respiratory physiotherapy appointment in a few weeks and will check my technique with them. Had asthma all my life, have bronchiectasis (can't spell it) since an adult. Recent diagnosis of lung disease 52% capacity, think this is the reason for change. Thank you for replying.

Good morning. I was told to try Trimbow. Which I think is what you mean and by the 3rd week. My morning coughing was getting worse during the day So I just reverted back to my Trelegy inhaler and sent her an email informing her because its difficult to get an appointment. Brian
