Hi Germantara . I am also on Trimbow Next inhaler. I have been on it for about 5 months. I have not had any of the symptoms you describe. What I have noticed most is that it does not last 12 hours after taking the morning dose. Do you also find this is the case? πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹

Yes it doesn't I take 2 puffs on morn and 2 on night but I find that when it gets to 35 or 40 it seem I have to inhale harder and I'm finding it makes my chest not to good when I start a new one I have no problems then when it gets down in numbers I feel awfull again I've been on it for 3 years nows I've been ok until the last 3 months

Hi again. I haven't noticed any difference in actually inhaling even when the counter goes down. My main issue is that each Trimbow Next inhaler dose doesn't last for the 12 hours. I guess we are all different. Hopefully somebody else may be able to answer your question better than me. Hope you get it sorted and do take care.πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹

Hi, was on trimbow for about a year ( IPF, bronchiectasis and emphysema ) became shorter of breath over time. A friend suggested if trying β€œTrelegy Ellipta β€œ could be of benefit, no problem getting it changed through my nurse and would say it seems so far to have been helpful. Trelegy only has to be taken once a day so a bit easier than four puffs a day. Wishing you good luck and hope this post may be of help.πŸ‘

Shows how different we all are! I was on Trelegy Ellipta , found it wasn't working well for me anymore and was put on Trimbow! All good for now , a year later xx

Hi bobgamer116 , thank you for your helpful reply. I had been on Trelegy Ellipta for about a month before being given Trimbow Nexthaler. I had to stop the Trelegy because it caused me back pain. Apparently that is a little known side effect. I am pleased to know that Trelegy Ellipta suits you.

I am very much a learner with this COPD. I haven't written a post myself yet but I find this site so helpful. Thank you again....and keep well. πŸ¦‹

Hi again Germantara . Gosh!.... that is interesting. How do you manage to go 16 hours between taking a dose in the afternoon and having to wait till 7am for your next dose ? I have not tried that but I would worry that I would barely be able to breathe by the morning.πŸ¦‹

Hi,i am the same as you regarding trimbow,no undue aches or pains but my nurse insists that the benefits last twelve hours and she just shrugs when i tell her that i am lucky to get seven hours relief from the morning doses..

Cariad-y-Mor profile image
Cariad-y-Morβ€’ in reply toMcwallace

Hi Mcwallace . Thank you for your reply. I am very much a " learner" with this pesky COPD and I found it helpful to know that you also find Trimbow doesn't last the full 12 hours. I take my morning dose about 9am and my evening dose at 10pm. The morning dose has stopped working by 8pm ☹ so I use a dose of my ventolin to last me till 10pm. It does work......but I don't really know whether I should be doing this πŸ€”.

If Yr struggling that's what salbutamol is for xxx

Cariad-y-Mor profile image
Cariad-y-Morβ€’ in reply toPatk1

Thank you for your reply Patk1 .That is helpful to know. I have previously assumed that I should take the ventolin if I get out of breath eg after an activity. When I sometimes take it at 8pm it is purely to make me last until my 10pm dose of Trimbow Nexthaler. πŸ¦‹

Oh, Mcwallace ! How I hate health professionals with the attitude of your nurse. Let them have a dose of what you have and see if they're still saying the same thing.

Trimbow doesn't last 12 hrs I wish it did I do like trimbow I have couple issues side effects but I can't go 12 hrs must admit once I take it on afternoon I've been ok even when gone to bed not often used salbutamol after taken that afternoon dose but on a morn when I wake up I cough cough mucus and become short breath so take 2 puffs salbutamolhelps loosen mucus with trusty cuppa tea

I think her response wasent helpfull sensitive person could feel distraught because breathing issues is not a nice thing it can take a person a long time to get there head around what ever lung issues they have I'm sorry to hear that you were told that

Hi, I was on trimbow for a couple of years. I found the same as you the benefits didn't seem to last the full 12 hours. I took mine with a spacer which really helped getting it into my lungs. I've changed to trixeo now, pretty much the same though, doesn't last the full 12 hours. I've got emphysema, chronic bronchitis, asthma & bronchiactesis. Recently diagnosed with lung cancer too.

I think the effects tend to wear off before the 12 hours is up. Also I have wondered if the inhaler becomes less effective as the days go by. However I think it may be that you need to press harder as the cylinder empties. Using trimbow with a spacer, I find it quite difficult to press more firmly but am trying to do so.

I am on trimbow next inhaler I can't use a spacer with it you just open it and inhaler do that 2 times morn and after noon even though I rince my mouth I still suffer on and off with sore mouth and also through the night my mouth very dry like san paper not every night but quite often it's becoming a thorn in my side as they say

Germantara profile image
Germantaraβ€’ in reply tojacic64

I had trixeo before trimbow it was OK but I was getting dizzy and before that I had bespervi that was good inhaler but was dizzy thought at first I had vertigo but wasent that was a good inhaler that one if it had been for dizzy all the time I would off remained on that

Sorry chook but that's one inhaler I didn't get on with as I just kept feeling like I had flu, aches, headache, feeling sick, trapped wind so painful stomach too. I went back to doctors to change back to my old one and they gave me the brown inhaler (clenil modulite) and that was a game changer for me. It doesn't suit everyone πŸ˜‰

Germantara profile image
Germantaraβ€’ in reply toMellywelly

Having trapped wind is awfull I had it off and on couple weeks I was beginning to think oo something not right so I took the view well what will be will be it went and came back had for days so thought well thinking the worst thought can't be botherd to chew myself then excuse this saying I gave a massive belch and it all went it was like middle top back and round bottom off shoulder so it's not a pleasant thing I'm sure it's inhaler cause I don't gulp me cuppas don't eat quickly or drink pop so has ta be trimbow take care
