Has anyone suffered with high ocular pressure after using Steroid inhalers? I have been and my optician says I should try not to take any inhaled steroids!! But my asthma doctor says my asthma cannot be controlled any other way!! Has anyone had a similar experience? I take 100/6 symbicort 1 puff per

Chronic Side Effects of Asthma Medications
I joined this group some two months ago, soon after being been diagnosed with underlying asthma. At that time, I had been prescribed Forstair 100/6 and have tried the pressurised inhaler and NEXThaler fine powder options, both of which evoked horrendous side effects of hoarseness, dry mouth ulcers and

Swapping spiriva to Trimbow and update on referral
Hi, I managed to speak to the asthma specialist nurse at my own GP’s, about my increase in flare ups, increased prednisolone and need for referral that I posted about last week. He was very helpful in that he acknowledged that a referral was necessary, although being seen by a Consultant ‘as they have

We are all doomed?
Peta Bee has been writing about early mortality and exercise in the Times on Tuesday and has picked out some useful information . According to the Vitalty insurance company there has been a 34% drop in the number of people attaining 7,000 steps in the first 3 weeks of January. So what? Well -

Is this good or bad?
Tmi but I've just brought up a lot of mucus for about 10 minutes with constant coughing. I have started a stronger and new inhaler after an asthma flare up two weeks ago. Is this good? Is this my lungs bringing up all the bad stuff from the flare up?

And the scan results are...

Sob symptoms after 5days of prednisolone and currently stepping down
Hi hope all is well with you all. During an asthma flare up which started 12 days ago I was given 5 days prednisolone 40mg daily and another inhaler (Atrovent and then replaced by Spiriva a week later). Stress and a Short Synathcen Test
Hi, I saw my new pituitary specialist on Friday who surprisingly offered me a Short Synathcen Test for suspected low cortisol. I had a cortisol test recently and it was normal. I have just realised that fasting for the test was not recommended, and I had had no coffee or food overnight. Before my

Questions about Spiriva and referral
Hi, I’ve just taken my first dose of Spiriva and am always a bit edgy when taking new things 😅. I realised after taking it, that the instructions didn’t say anything about shaking it before use, is that because it’s a different kind of inhaler to Fostair which is my other inhaler? Also it didn’t

Significant reduction in Ventolin inhaler use after Astra Zenica Covid vaccination.
I had my first Astra Zenica covid vaccination about a month ago so after a lifetime of Ventolin and/or Salbutamol inhaler use, I do not see how it can be a coincidence that my reliance on the aforementioned inhalers has gone from several times a day to maybe once a week or less. I still take my preventer
