I'm trying to figure out how I struggle with social situations. I have no friends anymore. I think I have to make myself go out. I went to a na meeting the other day. Today I had to force myself to walk to the drug store and get my flu shot. Every time I decide on a place to go,end up not going. I do

Hi I'm new to the forum. I had pneumonia about 8 years ago and it took me a very long time to recover, I had 3 months off work! It was discovered that I had mild bronchiectasis- so that was the reason I got ill a lot during the winter! The first winter I was retired; I had no symptoms but subsequent

Advice Appreciated
Hello everyone I have suddenly got a swelling on my right eyelid on a blood vessel. I can have bruises there but never had this and wondered has anyone else?. The same eye does water first thing in a morning then stops. It can also feel itchy and be red. I've recently had my eyes tested and all is healthy

Flu jab yes or no?
I am due to have a flu jab, at my own request, through my doctors surgery but without specific advice from a GP. I seem to remember a previous discussion on this forum where the consensus seemed to be go for it. I can't seem to locate it. I am reducing Pred. And am on 12.5mgs. I feel pretty rough, not

Flu jab
Hi all, for the record, I got my annual flu vaccine last week. The wonderful pharmacist explained that the substance used in the shot is not live virus. The major issue with PMR and prednisone users is that the desired immune response may be less than optimal, given the immunosuppressive action of pred

Shingles Vaccine
My PCP suggested I get my shingles vaccine, but a friend with MS was told by her neurologist not to get a shingles vaccine. Have any of you received this vaccine?

Neuro-optometrist: update
On Thursday I had an appointment with a neuro-optometrist in Leigh-on-Sea, and I'm getting a very interesting referral. This appointment was specifically for my visual and spatial symptoms, but I have hope that it will be the path to deeper recovery. He asked me what my symptoms were. (Double vision

Flu vaccine and sweats
Diagnosed 2 years ago, on WandW and other than occasional day and night sweats, not really all that bothered by it. Even had a reduction on my Ly numbers. However, it's flu vaccination time and so had it on Friday. During Friday night I was having horrendous sweats of super strength and these have continued
