Vitamin d and b12
What’s the link? I see people saying those low in b12 May likely have a vit d deficiency but why is this?

New blood test results, is this possible?
Hello, As you might remember from my other posts I had a B12 result from the 15th of November that was 155. By the time I got to the doctor and because of problems to get my shots etc I started on B12 oral spray on the 9th of december. On the 14th I went to have more bloods because I wanted them to check

B12 injections been stopped
Hoping for some advice please. My apologies for the length. I have hypothyroidism and B12 deficiency diagnosed in 2017. I also have IBS with a dairy sensitivity since I was 15. I have a healthy balanced diet but cannot digest red meat and have to monitor my dairy input daily. I have been having B12

Vegans 'need to be aware of B12 deficiency risk'
Just been told of an item on BBC news. Many thyroid sufferers also have B12 deficiency, (often 40% have both) so they might wish to pass it on to any relatives and friends who may not be aware of how vital it is for vegans and vegetarians to supplement B12: Vegans 'need to be aware of B12 deficiency

SACD (sub acute combined degeneration of the spinal cord) with normal serum b12
Hi, I came across this article about a patient with SACD whose B12 level was normal. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5216536/ They responded well to B12 treatment. Article starts with saying that immediate treatment is needed in patients with b12 deficiency to prevent permanent neurological

Training patients to SI B12.
It seems that Wirral Primary Care are offering a course for nurses and healthcare assistants on how to teach patients to inject their own B12. https://primarycarewirral.co.uk/training/vitamin-b12-injection-training-for-gp-staff/

Could it not be PA/B12 deficiency?
Hi, after getting weekly injections for the past year, my ferritin level is no 7 (range 10-225), so it seems I'm in need of an iron perfussion urgently. My K, CA, VitD are all good. Obviously Hematocrits and Hemoglobin are also low. B12 is 1470 (range 189-883), but seems useless. Now I think my B12 deficiency

Raising vitamin B12/Folate - Ferritin rises???
Can anyone help - I’ve recently started supplementing vitamin b12 and folate because of low levels. Can this automatically raise my ferritin levels? My ferritin level has always been around 108 (10-200) and on a thriva test done recently it’s just over the top of the range???? Help!!!

Low iron
My ferritine was 59ug/dl 2 weeks ago. I have been having my periods for 5 days every 28 days for years. My doc gave me iron supplement once a day. I have been taking it for 2 weeks. I took a blood test 2 days ago and the results showed my iron is low.. 47ug/dl. How is it possible if I am taking 2 weeks

Can mild incline in potassium levels after b12 inj therapy explain heart palpitation and anxiety?
I'm probably deficient in b12 as I have many of the relevant symptoms (including neurological) so I started b12 injection therapy in the advice of my Doctor. I'm using cianocoblamin 1000 mcg injection each alternate day. I'm also mildly deficient with Iron so I take the Solgar "Gentle Iron" - 25mg byglicinate

Treated for low B12 and now low folic acid
I was told I was B12 deficient at the end of June and was given the 6 loading doses and I’m now receiving 3 monthly injections for B12 deficiency. I went back to the GP to see if I could have more frequent injections because I felt tired again after 2 months. The GP did mor blood tests and the results

How to schedule b12 injections with Iron & folate supplements?
I'm probably deficient in b12 so I started b12 injection therapy. After initiating the therapy the blood count test showed mild decrease in iron level so I would like to start supplementing with "gentle Iron"/Solgar 40Mcg and maybe with folate 400mcg as well (though no folate incline noted). So first

B12 & mannosse binding pectin deficiency??
Hi does anyone have any knowledge of B12 injections with Mannosse Binding Pectin deficiency, can it help? Would there be any negatives to trying B12? Not sure if it’s a B12 ‘NHS’ deficiency as blood levels not low enough but plenty of symptoms suggest B12 could help. Any advice welcome. Thanks

Result of blood test and ECG: no hyperthyroidism due to B12 confirmed.
I got the results from the blood test and ECG done last Friday. My ECG was normal 😊 and so was my tsh: 1.41 mU/L. Because the tsh is in the range, the lab cancelled the T4 unfortunately, and I have no other way around at this time to change that. But I believe I am getting better. The doctor re-tested
