Why does the majority on here feel getting an iron infusion is horrible??? Have you ever had one??? I have and they are not bad!!!
I have had RLS for years and I get my ferretin levels checked every 3 months. Getting an iron infusion will not cure RLS, it will however lesson the symptoms. Keeping the level above 80 is recommended. Some people can’t absorb iron in their diets and need to get it through an infusion. They still

Is Vitamin C ok to take with my other meds?
Hi I would like to start on collagen for my bones and my ageing skin. But most seem to contain Vitamin C. I have it in my head that I shouldn't take vitamin C for some reason but I don't know why. I currently take: ERFA Levo Lenzetto and micronised progesterone (HRT) Calcium Iron B Vits Fish

Vitamin B12 and calcium deposits
Hi just need a question answered by you clever people.I have a painful knee and my GP sent me for an X-ray.It showed up deposits of calcium so am having some blood tests. I have B12 at the doctors 3 months but also inject myself every 3 weeks.Could B12 cause high levels of iron to cause this calcium

B12 advice needed
Hi everyone. I posted a while back and you were all so helpful. I've taken a lot of advice from this forum, and my blood test results from last week show that all your advice has really improved my thyroid function. I got on top of my supplements and increased my Levo to 200mcg a day. My test results

B12 roller coaster...
I've been on a B12 roller coaster for a few years now. My symptoms seem to correlate with when my levels drop but I do not have anemia. I am allergic to B12 shots (had 3 at different times before they had to come to a halt for throat/tongue swelling) and my doc said well, go to a hematologist. I feel

iron levels
I had my iron and ferritin levels checked. My iron was 126, ferritin was 65 TIBC 34%. Transferririn was not checked. I’m not sure about raising the iron levels too high. How high can one safely go? My Dr. Is suggesting 65 mg of iron every other day and recheck in 3 months. As luck will have it Iwas

MHRA Double standards on vitamin B12 injections by Tracey Witty | Dec 31, 2020 | Petition |
This is very interesting. How a beautician or salon can distribute b12 no prescriptions no license. https://www.b12deficiency.info/mhra-double-standards-on-vitamin-b12-injections/

Theories on Stress and B12
Hi all I've seen a few questions on the forum around the relationship between stress and B12. I think this is a very interesting area. On the one hand, B-Vitamins are well-known to support the body during times of stress. In many ways this makes sense because our bodies run on essential vitamins and

Seeking info about impact of B12 deficiency in GI and digestion and changes in GI symptoms post B12 deficiency treatment
I watched 5 hours of resource videos on the PA youtube site, mainly a conference, and I came across some interesting slides that showed the small intenstine vili and cells of the GI tract before and after B12 injections. They healed! From what I understand, B12 deficiency can result in DNA replication

Feeling better so soon after B12 injections?!?
He members, I have read much about an exaccerbation of B12 deficiency symptoms after starting B12 injections to proactively readdress B12 deficiency, but wondered if anyone here has experienced improved energy and reduced brain fog the day after their first injection, as I have? I don't have severe

Negative MMA test, but ongoing B12 issues?
Hello. I have some questions for those that live with PA. Can PA randomly develop at any point in your life? I’m 25, my issues started around the age of 18. I was diagnosed over 3 years ago with a B12 deficiency of 86 pmol/L. (Range 115-1000 pmol/L) At that time I didn’t have any unusual symptoms,

Test results help please
Hi all. Sorry for the long post. I have had blood tests and would like some advice. One GP suggested B12 injection as B12 is low end of normal ( I have chronic gastritis so absorption of oral B12 is prob not great) but was overruled by another GP. I’ve said I believe B12 Vit D and ferritin needs to

Is it important to keep an eye on copper/zinc levels if you take iron supplements
This is interesting to me as copper is so important in so many functions of the body. I always feel if we work on increasing the levels of one particular nutrient in the body we must keep an eye on the balance of the others. "What can cause a copper deficiency? Copper deficiency can be acquired or

B12 & folate
What’s the relationship between B12 &folate? I am self injecting more regularly due to recent illness & I need to keep both levels optimal as I’m on antibiotics. Does more b12 impact folate levels? Thanks 😊

Is it B12 deficiency, cortisol issues or COVID related?
I had Covid in March and since then have been feeling pretty much all of the rotten signs and symptoms I had when on T4 only as well as some more awful ones indicative of B12 deficiency. My ferritin vit D but especially B12 have all taken a dive. I have always had above range B12 without supplements.

Test results - can someone help?
Hi all, I had an iron test (fasted, no supplements for iron in months) and could do with some help, if anyone can? Iron: 36.1 (r5.8 - 34.5) Ferritin: 60.1 (r13 - 150) So my ferritin is a little low, but why then is the iron in my blood over the normal range? Should I be worried? I can't take supplements
