5 year diagnosis anniversary!
I just passed my 5 years diagnosis anniversary, and I’m happy to report that my treatment has been durable and my PSA remains < 0.01. At diagnosis, I had a PSA of 211, an alk phos above 900, multiple Mets, a Gleason of 9 (5+4), and a wonky, non-hereditary PTEN gene. My treatment from day 1 has been

Does anyone else feel buzzing and hyper and dizzy at the same time? My neuropathy is also bad.
Please can anyone help - I feel pretty ill but not sure I can even describe it. My neuropathy in my lower legs is unusually bad, bothering me at night so I can't sleep and in the day to the extent I feel the pain in my left leg/shin may be a hazard driving. Sometimes I feel very weak and as if I can't

Zanubrutinib and water intake and sodium level
I am a 78 year old woman who has been on a very long watch and wait since 1999. I was diagnosed in 1998 and given a small amount of prednisone and chlorambucil and have received nothing since except ivig which started in June2021 due to infections. My watch and wait is over as I will be starting treatment

For those who take Biotin - how much should I take?
Hello, I'm experiencing thinning and brittle hair despite good Vit D, Ferritin, Folate and B12 levels. I've been doing some investigation as to the potential causes and it seems I'm taking too much Selenium (350µg)but I'm not sure about ideal Biotin levels (I'm currently taking 100µg daily). I had

Liothyronine Trial
I saw an NHS Endocrinologist last week who has agreed to my request for a 3 month trial of Liothyronine, something I have wanted for many years. The suggestion is to drop from 75mcg levothyroxine daily to 25mcg and to take 5mcg of T3 in the morning and again at lunchtime. After nearly 20 years on Levo

interesting find
has anyone tried grass fed beef liver supplements. I’m wondering if these freeze dried capsules would be beneficial because of the vitamins and minerals in them as I don't seem to be able to keep my levels of anything up without supplementing. As soon as I stop they seem to drop again quite quickly ,

TMD pain
Anybody got any advice on TMD? I have now had two bouts of this awful jaw pain and I'm wondering if it has anything to do with being over/undermedicated. The first time I got it, I had recently gone up from 50 to 75mg levo and this time it follows a recent increase to 100mg. I've had to come off

feeling overwhelmed with information.
good morning As you know I have recently upped my supplements to include vitamin d, b complex, k2, magnesium and selenium. I already take cod liver oil on top of my prescribed fluoxetine, Levo, cerazette (birth control) and loratadine(antihistamine). Can I take everything bar the Levo at the same time

testosterone boosters after ADT?
I finished SBRT in September and a six month course of ADT in March. I asked my endocrinologist about zinc and Vitamin D to aid T recovery, and he said it probably wouldn’t help, but won’t hurt anything. I saw some “testosterone support” from Wieder at the store and am considering it. It augments

Which Vits to test for
Hi, I have been given a trial of T3. My thyroxine has been reduced from 75mcg daily to 50 mcgs with T3 added at 5mcgs. I have been taking these for eight days so far. I have an appointment with a GP on Monday and will ask to have my blood tested for vitamins. My question is, which should I be asking

are you taking vitamins / supplements, in conjunction with use of a prescription bone treatment?
let me know how it's going, and what you're using, please, thanks ... after all, the main trial for prolia had participants on daily calcium supplement with vitamin D.

hello! I have hashimotos after having postpartum thyroiditis with my three children. I take vit d, and iron and folic acid as my nhs blood tests showed I was deficient. My b12 was fine. I also take Selenium. I believe I should be taking magnesium and zinc too but wasn’t sure at what dosage and if

CA 27-29 has your tumor marker test ever gone into normal range
Update to my last update: the people who ran my blood said they mixed up the vials of blood with another patient. They offered to retest me at no expense. I go in tomorrow for my bloodwork retest. I can’t imagine how often stuff like this happens and how often it goes unnoticed. It says Mayo Clinic
