high ALP
I had my liver/cholesterol bloods done recently due to starting a statin. my ALP part came back high and the dr put a note of Vit D?? Is that saying it’s Vit D deficiency. Is there anything helpful to know before I see the gp next week for example further blood tests to ask for.

Help please
My sister is taking 75mcg levo and her latest results are TSH 0.24(0.4-4.7) Ft3 3.8 (3.5-6.5) Ft4 13(12-23) Vit D 65 >75 B12 446 (156-672) Ferritin 27 She will be supplementing iron and vid D. What would you recommend? Would her frees improve if TSH gets a little higher?

Ibrance and supplements
I belong to those who are very careful in taking food supplements. My oncologist recommended not to take calcium and vitamin D because I have a high level of calcium in my blood. I mainly use vitamin C, and I try to compensate everything else from food. I am 69 years old and use Ibrance 100 + fulvestrant

MCV and supplement question
Hi all, I'm hypothyroid and frequently have MCV and MCH outside of range. In general I feel better supplementing with methyl Bs and have added folate. I want to ask though if there is anything concerning and how to address these results. Is my ferritin ok or are there additional tests to run? Thank

Scoliosis caused by Lipoma on Spine?
Some years ago I had a minor fall, not even a fall really. The back of an office chair gave way and I fell almost horizontally, then pulled myself back up. That night I found a small round lump a couple of inches away from my spine in the large muscle in my mid-back. I thought it was probably a lipoma

The Sun and I
10 years ago I was on my porch in the sun one spring and was sick to my stomach and thought " Oh that is just the sun" Then I concluded that the sun should not make one sick. I then went over my life and concluded that when I was the happiest was when I had enough sun and the worse when I did not. (At

Anyone have hypercalcemia?
Hi, All! I've been doing pretty well since my diagnosis and b12 injections for 5 months or so. I still had some lingering symptoms that I felt were not related to pernicious anemia. Anyway, the other day I ended up in the ER with kidney stones and hyponephrosis (urine backing up into kidney, swollen

Hi I’ve had AF for a number of years now but it seems to be controlled by bisoprolol apart from my Apple Watch telling me I’m in AF which I wouldn’t have realised. Anyway blood tests have shown I’m very low in B12 and vit d and anaemic and I’ve been feeling dizzy, tired and my ankles and feet swelling

Starting Levothyroxine tomorrow - tips?
Hi all, Finally managed to get a trial of 50mcg of Levothyroxine. Do you guys have any tips? The box just says to it before breakfast, and to avoid caffeinated fluids for 30 minutes after taking it. The thing is, I also take 50mg of sertraline. When should I take that? I also take vitamin D, b12

Your best adjunct therapy pick
If you could only continue with just one alternative PD therapy, what would it be? (My rather gauche attempt to pick your brains and not re-invent the wheel.) For me, it's MCT oil. What about you?

Please help with advice on Levo dose and vitamin levels.
Hello.I was started on Levo at 75mg about 10 days ago. My doctor wants to do a blood test after 8 weeks. Last time I was given a 2 month trial and because my TSH came down ( they don't care about antibodies so those weren't checked ! ) they took me off the Levo. Now I've gone to a different, much more

Safe to take Gabapentin for life?
I haven’t been able to find any reliable info on whether Gabapentin is safe to take for life (30+ years), specifically for severe PLMD with pain. My husband has this and has not started it yet, as his neurology visit isn’t until later this week. His case seems to be different than any we have read about
