Seeking guidance
This is my third cancer diagnosis, and this time it's terminal (my first and second primary diagnoses having been in 2016 and 2017, respectively). I've no idea whether or not to take a risk and attend my MRI and CT scans scheduled at the hospital for next week, plus I have immunotherapy (pertuzumab

Anxiety and the effect on our health
I am not in any way medically qualified but do have, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis RA, (positive) kidney disease (through injury) and Cylindrical Bronchiectasis a lung condition I was born with. But in reality I'm healthy so the idea of that b---y virus getting me is not my idea of positive thinking. Anyway

COVID 19 INFO from Doc. (with my question)
Messaged my doc. I am 73.5 and been on prednisone 2.5 years at 2mg. ......going to 1.5 ...some days. I've been lucky with no flares and am fairly fit still. So all this may not apply to all. But think it is always good to share info from doc. Bonnie, I think you are fine staying where you are with the

No surprise about the subject of this question...
Has anyone had a straight answer from their consultant about whether we (ie those of us on a cocktail of immunosuppressant drugs) should be working from home? I mean I’m a teacher so tricky when the schools are open but I’m getting so rattled by my colleagues saying “are you sure you should be here”

Insurance cover for Belatacept anti rejection infusion therapy. How do I get insurance for this drug therapy? My Medicare ends in 3 months?
Has anyone else had experience in getting Belatacept covered (or not covered) under their ACA insurance provider or other insurance provider? If so, how did you go about it? What was the process? How easy was it to get them to decide to cover it or not? I am going on three years after a successful kidney

For those of us on Prednisone.... There is no easy blood test to check someone’s level of immune suppression, but being in active chemotherapy, having low white-cell or low lymphocyte counts and/or taking immune-suppressive agents (such as prednisone) are all associated with immune suppression and

So 2 years of rattling like a pill bottle on various high dose steroids and
immunosuppressants
and Rituximab/ Truxima and honestly struggling to carry on with normal life I was finally told I'm clear to try a last ditched attempt at a family.

Coming off PPIs for endoscopy
Anyway, when I showed up they advised me that when the consultant reviewed my history this morning, he decided it was best not to do the procedure at our local cottage hospital due to the complexity of my case and also being on
immunosuppressants
, but could I go to the main hospitals in Leicester instead

Due to cancer I was taken off all
immunosuppressants
and have been struggling to get Crohns under control for about a year. Was given a MRI which is showing active disease so decision was made by MDT team to try me on this for 10 weeks.

Textbook case of HIV but still negative at 12 weeks
I had a high risk exposure and one month later got red dots on my stomach and a very bad flu like illness a couple days later. That came with diarrhea, severe night sweats, weight loss, thrush and changes to my vision. It’s been almost 3 months since then and I now have more thrush, diarrhea and boils

BK virus after kidney transplant
If this keeps increasing it make eventually leak into the kidney and hurt it, and there is no effective way to fight the virus except tapering down the
immunosuppressants
to wake up immune system a little bit. This could hurt the new kidney as well if rejection happens.

Information for Mebendazole and Fenbendazole Users
There are some members on this forum who are taking either mebendazole or fenbendazole, two antihelminthic drugs that appear to have anticancer activity. The former is for human use and the latter for animals. I did a web and literature search to obtain more information on these drugs - this post summarizes

Bone fracture and immunosuppressants
Hello. I fell three days ago and fractured a shoulder bone. My question is, does a bone fracture take longer to heal when you’re on 7.5 mg of prednisone and 150 mg of azathioprine? I had six cycles of cyclophosphamide (last one the 30th of October) and have been using prednisone for about two years but
