We've been contacted by the team at BBC News Digital Video because they would like to interview someone with lupus who is on immunosuppressant medication as part of their treatment (or has a weakened immune system) about the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
They would like the person to be able to talk about their concerns, experiences and plans for preparation in the midst of the current outbreak.
To take part you must:
- be aged 18+
- live in the UK
- be on an immunosuppressant treatment or have a weakened immune system due to your diagnosis
- be happy to be videoed and for your content to be shared through the BBC News network
- be available to interview early this week (the interview can be conducted from your home)
If you would like to take part, please email me at paul@lupusuk.org.uk and provide me with your full name, where you live and your telephone number.

Thats asking more in the UK, then they care about people with lupus in the States... You all should be jumping at the opportunity to speak on so many members behalf. I certainly would if I lived there. This is a chance to be heard, and noticed for our conditions. I pray someone will answer the call to share their views and concerns. It will open the doors to possibly help those who are compromised. I pray for everyone's health always..blessings thestormy sunshine
We've had a couple of volunteers get in touch and I've put them in contact with the journalist. Fingers crossed they go ahead with the interview and raise some more awareness of lupus.
As of Monday morning due to lack of understanding from employers following government guidelines they have decided that it is okay for me with lupus taking immune suppressants having secondary and third underlying conditions such as blood clotting disorder
To go and stand and sit in a church in a busy food bank
Haven't slept since been told on Monday last I'm not going to the food bank and putting in a grievance if I don't get an answer by Monday evening I am resigning due heartbroken as I really loved the job
