ts fair to say I am panicking as Ive just had a phone call from my friend to say she has tested positive this morning after starting to feel unwell yesterday (Friday). She came to my home on Thursday (negative test same morning) while I went to hospital for a pre op check. While she was here to look

Post eye operation vision. Experience of distortion and epiretinal membrane
I had a trabeculectomy five weeks previously. Still blurry vision but I know this is the norm and a lot has been discussed. My blurriness is clearing very slowly, - so slow to frustrate me but not slow enough to worry doctors - but as my vision slowly improves, I have noticed the distortion of my vision

Timing of Eylea Injections
When I was diagnosed with Macular Oedema at a very overdue ophthalmology appointment I was told I would start a course of 5 four-weekly Eylea injections in two week. Strabismus surgery and CSR success so far
I just recently had strabismus surgery and I have CSR in my left eye. I had surgery in both eyes I was super nervous about it but my specialist told me it doesn’t affect the inner eye. I’ve had dramatically improved results since I’ve had the surgery. I believe it has something to do with my eyes being

Hi, has anyone elected to stop Methotrixate due to the side effects and inconclusive RA diagnosis. Decided to stop as side effects outweigh benefits! Has anyone then moved on to controlling inflammation with alternatives like turmeric, devils claw or Chinese remedies. There has to be an alternative

Miralax..
So I posted the other day about having to get a colonoscopy, and I'm worried it will trigger my aFib. Now I'm guessing it won't be the colonoscopy but rather the 240grams of Miralax they are telling me I need to take in the 24 hours prior to the exam. I called into the office 2 days ago and the doc

Good Morning I should apologise for not being a bit more proactive on this site. I suffered a TBI caused by an AVM 2 years ago (this caused a subarachnoid hemmorage) this has left me with permanent double vision and a balance problem. I spent 4 months in hospital, only left there because I forced it

Non-Necrotising Scleritis
Can it get any worse 😭😭 Ended up back in hospital for a week with severe pain in my left eye. Have been diagnosed with Diffuse Anterior Non-Necrotising Scleritis in both eyes. Both are really red and sore. Feels like a thousand pins are pressing on my eye balls. I look like the She Devil 😢 Preds

Thyroid eye disease
Hello everyone, I’ve been told that I may have thyroid eye disease and certainly it seems that I have all the symptoms of it. I’m really confused though as the GP did loads of blood tests that came back fine for thyroid function. I have an appt with a thyroid eye specialist at the end of July and in

Time to decide about leaving the initial NON TIME LIMITED Captivate trial because of potential toxicity
Hi all, My husband is in the initial 164 trial group of Non Time limited Captivate Trial. The trial design was Venetoclax ramp up and then ibrutinib until MRD. When MRD was achieved, a blind was set up for placebo vs Ibrutinib indefinitely, or until progression/toxicity. Since MRD, we have settled

Graves' Ophthalmopathy in the Setting of Primary Hypothyroidism

Am I heading for a PMR flareup?
After feeling very smug with myself for reducing my prednisolone down to 15mg since May 2022. Now in my 4th week since my last reduction and only had very mild symptoms in the mornings until the preds had kicked in for the day. My last blood test showed my inflammation had reduced down to nearly nothing
