It IS twofer Thursday!
I'll spare you the pictures. Last night I set out a glue trap to catch a small rodent that was getting into the wild bird seed. I went to check the trap this morning and it wasn't where I left it. Looked around a bit and it was on the far corner of the deck but something was moving. I got closer and

TWO YEARS TODAY SINCE MY CARDIAC ARRESTS
Two days later they put in a permanent pacemaker &
ICD
, I was in ICU for 3-4 days, then moved into a room with 3 other people. I got great care and did quite well. After a week they said that if I could walk down the hallway and back they would let me come home.

Mirena coil hatred
Hi, I had a mirena coil in for 8 months since my c section....and it came out on sat. I was so happy because I hate it. I just rang the hospital department to ask about a different contraceptive and they said I have no choice but another coil. I cried on the phone to her. Is this definitely the only

Marijuana and mental disorders treatment
While the use of cannabis has been linked primarily to the cause of mental illnesses, particularly the cause of psychoses, the therapeutic potential for mental illnesses has long been hidden. That has changed significantly in recent years. Recent research shows the enormous potential of cannabinoids

Here we go again... back to square one?
I have finally been referred to a Gynaecologist and after a few months on the waiting list, I was able to have my consultation in February this year. As my endo symptoms are under control (no coil, no hormones, just taking phototherapy), we agreed on just having regular ultrasound scans every 3 months

Useless Consultants
Has anyone else had a useless consultant? Had my telephone appointment told her all my 20 year history again( she hadn’t looked at my notes as she couldn’t find them) then proceeded to tell her that I’ve had a 6 week bleed, constant pain and now a throbbing/stabbing pain near my right ovary. The response

Am I giving a wrong self diagnosis or is this a genuine cause for concern?
Hi, I’ve always had really heavy, irregular and long periods that causes pain to the point where I am nearly passing out, but recently this has worsened. I have had an IUD put in which I know can cause heavier, longer and more painful periods, however I had this inserted a year and a half ago and I am

Coil Query
Hiya. I currently have the Nexplanon implant and I’ve had it in for about a year now and it isn’t really working for me. I’m looking into getting either one of the coils I just want to get some advice and see if it’s worked well for some other people. My periods are really regular and quite heavy

Copper coil fitted for 3 years now. Never any problems until now.
My period as never been more than 2 days late in the last 3 years. But I'm now 10 days late and no sign of it coming. Has this happened to anyone before??

Backpacking after ICD Fitted
After rehab etc, I would like to resume multi day hikes (Caminos) and wondered if anyone has any experience of wearing a backpack after having an
ICD
fitted. I'm thinking predominantly about location of shoulder strap being close to site of
ICD
. Any input gratefully received Frank

I’m having 2 periods a month (1 period approximately every 20 days) and bleeding for 10+ days each time
It’s as it says above. This has been happening since I was 16 and came off the implant. It stopped briefly when I went on the combined pill, but is happening again now I’m on a copper IUD

Hi there, hope everything is going well for you all, So I had a really tough night and I keep struggling today, I got two panic attacks, first one yesterday night at 1am and second like two hours after I woke up, I almost start hurting myself again in the first breakdown because I was in a lot of psychological
