Endometriosis Advice
I am 27 and have been dealing with painful period since I was 13/14. I have gone back to the doctor so many times about the pain to be told we can’t do anymore. You’re already on naxproxen and codiene nothing strong we can give you. Lots of doctors have said they think I have endometriosis but no one

Laparoscopy and coil
Hi everyone, I'm having my second laparoscopy and coil fitted in December and I was wondering if anyone has had this procedure too? Is the recovery different to normal laparoscopy? Is it different 2nd time round? And I'm really worried about having a coil as well

Ovarian cyst found 5 weeks AFTER laparoscopy - so confused!
Hi all, Just when you think the worst is over, I’ve just been for an ultrasound to check if my coil I had fitted during my lap is in the right place as I’ve had bad pains, and luckily it is however he showed me a cyst on my right ovary. I had a lap 5 weeks ago and was told in the post surgery report

Newly diagnosed with Endo & not sure how to go about doctor's appointments- can anyone help?
Hi, in the past 8-12 months I've suffered from extremely painful periods, to the point I was collapsing monthly, even temporarily losing vision. I finally went to the doctor about it (only had telephone appts so far) and she said she agreed with describing it as 'a degree of Endometriosis'. She recommended

Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with endometriosis in May this year after my first laparoscopy. I had an appointment with the consultant who said they found it and got it out but I'm still experiencing painful periods so he's going to see what happened in my last operation and see if there's adhesions on

Surgery or try other things first?
I have been struggling with suspected endometriosis for over a decade (as many on this forum will empathise with). And after finally pushing harder to relieve symptoms I have finally had a date for a laparoscopy in 3 weeks time. However, I'm incredibly nervous about the surgery, particularly the recovery

Internal defibrillator alarm just sounded
This is totally unbelievable - my internal defibrillator alarm has just gone off having had a
ICD
replacement at The Freeman hospital in Newcastle on Tuesday. I phoned the hospital only to be told the Pacing Dept. is closed over the weekend and to ring again on Monday.

OCD and hormones
Hi there. I’ve been stressing a lot the past couple of weeks. I’m 21(f) and just found out I have PCOS. Due to this disorder my bodies hormones have been out of wack for at least 3 years now. To prevent symptoms and pain of this disorder my doctors thought it was best to have the hormonal IUD birth control

Combined pill and endo
Hi, I’m about to go in for my lap and ovarian cyst removal in a few days. I’ve declined a Merina coil as single hormone contraception plays havoc with my long term acne and my pain form endo is manageable. The combined pill has worked really well for my skin in the past and I’m wondering about this

Endo pain from weight lifting
I was diagnosed with endo in December 2020. During my laparoscopy, they inserted the mirena iud. My pain and bleeding has started to increase again and in particular, when I’m doing intense exercise (weight lifting, netball) it makes it significantly worse. All the advice I see is encouraging people

Can one nodule cause so much pain?
Hiya all, When I had my lap last week the gynaecologist told me she found an endometriosis nodule in my right utero sacral ligament and that it was to deep for her to remove so I would a specialist to do it. I have had sciatic type pain for nearly three years that is always present although it gets
